30 y,o mathieu 20 mio..
31 y,o alves 6 mio..

really?

One player was deemed unsellable by his club, hence the activation of release clause and inflated fee. The buying club was desperate for a player of his kind, which seller was painfully aware of.

The other player, though, is hardly considered to be an important piece of the XI puzzle and the coach doesn't seem too keen on him. Add to that crazy wages, and you have a situation where you can be forced to sell cheap.

There, solved this baffling conundrum for you. You're welcome!

Unless we have a suitable replacement lined up, there's no real point in getting rid of Alves. We'd be left with only Montoya and the only other player being talked about for that position is Cuadrado who is not a right back.

I won't. He's worth double that sum at least. And I don't see a good offensive fullback to replace him with.

I doubt any team is gonna pay that much for a 31 year old Dani Alves who has been average for a while now for both Barcelona AND Brazil. Not saying I would take that offer of 6m because that rumour is BS made up by caughtoffside.

If we have a good replacement ready then I would sell Alves for that symbolic fee or even less and let him join whichever team he want without standing in his way by demanding more in transfer fee.

If we do get rid of Alves it should be 10m atleast taking into consideration his age and wages. But question is who will replace him. It cant be Cuadrado. Maybe a new RB/CB and Montoya? Or use Bartra as a RB. I hope Lucho has taken this decision if he is firm on offloading Alves.

It's true. Bayern would never be willing to offer what PSG are (rumored to be) offering.

Right, Bayern is a serious and successful club with balls, dispite not having a 1 euro debt, they do not spend such absurd sum for a player. They move on the market very smart, e.g. they got a fantastic player like Lewandowski 81mio cheaper than Suarez.
Or, if they agree to spend a lot of money (40mio, not 80mio), they bought Götze (21y.o.), top 3 best young player in the world.
Respect :worthy:

Only this option sounds good to me. Why use Bartra at RB when he's shaping up to be a damn fine CB? Makes no sense. And Montoya, for me, is a weaker version of Jordi Alba. That RB spot will put us in a lot of trouble in the future.

Yeah we should have got Aurier. He was available for 8m. But i wont be surprised if we bid 40m for him in a couple of years

My first impressions of Porto's Danilo against Everton were good. I wonder why our board dropped their interest in him.
