If he's as bad as some people are saying he is (and I don't have any reason to believe he isn't), he isn't even good enough for the B team.

Definitely no "diamond in the rough" or anything of that sort.

Nah don't worry guys, Douglas is actually world class and we just happened to be the only big club to notice that. I kind of feel like I should become a Douglas fanboy just because everyone hates him would be pretty great if he actually then turns out to be decent

No idea. But he had unsuccessful stints at Porto and Dynamo Moscow (due to illness) and went back to Brazil to play for Fluminense. Then Milan signed him and he went beast mode there.
