Ja! But he is City-bound. :( Pogba is probably Madrid-bound.

Florentino have a feud with The Fat Rat(Raiola) so one of them have to put their ego down for Pogba to move to Madrid.

Not really sure we need any midfielder this summer. Maybe next summer though.

I think if Real Madrid comes away empty-handed this season, Florentino will have every incentive to bow down his proud head and sign the next biggest stars (in a way to secure his presidency), a list with Pogba on top right now.

Easier said than done. Besides, Real Madrid's issues won't be resolved with Pogba. Far from it.

Yup, of course. They need a good DM.

But you know, sometimes they just buy players to make sure we won't get them (Isco, Kovacic came to mind).

That said, I do think Pogba will be a plus for them.

Why all the sudden the need for a midfielder? With Rakitic, Arda, Busquets, Samper, Iniesta, Rafinha and Denis we're set for the future (or at least next season). Our priority should be at LB, CB and a forward.

No. He's talking about someone like Gundogan, a legit, consistent...

Well, I know Gundogan is more consistent but he also have bad or underperforming games.

Coutinho is younger, played 4 games less then Gundogan this season but scored 3 X more goals and have been "man of the match" games double then German. Not to mention how much better shooter Brasilian is...

But I wouldn't mind Gundogan if we can get him, great player.

On paper our midfield is all set. However, in reality when it even struggles against teams like Las Palmas and Levante, it says something about the state of it.

A good midfield supports MSN and provides cover for our defense. Right now it is often lacking in both department. Moreover, I wish we could have someone like Gundogan who will adjust the pace and stabilize things.

The last thing we need is another AM.
Problem i see is that all the good CMs will be locked up by big teams after next transferwindow.
Theres pretty much only 2 good creative midfielders that are on Barcelona level, one beeing Gundogan and the other Veratti, but Veratti is impossible to buy.
But a signing wont happen this summer since we recently signed Raki and Turan.

We have almost always struggle with midfield control in away games against teams that play high pressure on our backline and Busquets. At least until opponents gets tired after good 60 minutes and then we usually punish them.

I think both Rafinha and Denis Suarez are "two-way" midfielders. They will get new fresh blood and creative sparks to our midfield and they are both also good in defensive tasks as they are still young and can run a lot. And I believe Arda will also get better in his second season when he's fully integrated into our system.

But we'll probably never have a total midfield domination like we had in best Xavi and Iniesta days no matter who we buy. First off, because we'll never have two as complete CMs (together with a genius DM like Busquets and GOAT Messi) for possesion based football and second because Lucho's system doesn't depend on midfield creativity as much anymore. Maybe in 3 or 4 years if Xavi comes back as a coach (but I hope he won't really go back to a total tiki-taka style and will keep some of the good things that Lucho has implemented) we'll need a player like Verratti and we'll pay 80M or more for him (he'll most likely still be in PSG and I don't think his price will change much anyway so from financial standpoint it doesn't matter much when we buy him), but right now I don't think we need a midfielder like him. And maybe we won't even need him in the future if some of our young players (Rafinha, Roberto, Suarez, Samper, Alena, Halilovic, Kaptoum,...) will develop good and/or if we manage to find some younger and cheaper alternative on the market. That's why I would like us to continue with the politics of bringing in talented youngsters like Denis and Alen. And of course also younger ones to keep them developing in La Masia.

We don't have unlimited budget ,we need to manage our priorities
Yes we struggle a lot in away games in controlling midfield or with the absence of either Iniesta/Busquets but their clear bigger priorities
Just in the same game it is clear we need a new CB who can take over Mathieu as 3rd CB and become a starting CB for the future with Mascherano (and the whole back line) age
Their also a bigger need for someone who can play in attack and a back LB
Midfield comes after that ,but with a limited budget we won't be able to do it .
