We don't really need more than 60-70m. tops. I mean, we need a CB and a back-up LB. That's pretty much it.

Midfield - stacked.
Attack - MSN + young players (Rafinha, Denis maybe, Munir) + Arda
Defence - what we have + 1CB (transfer).
GK - Bravo + Stegen
Fullbacks - Alves, Vidal, Sergi Roberto, Alba + LB.

That's it.

It looks great tbh.

Something like this..

Stegen, Bravo, Masip
Alves, Vidal, Alba, LB
Pique, Mascherano, Mathieu, CB
Busquets, Iniesta, Rakitic, Sergi Roberto, Arda, Rafinha (Samper, Alena)
Messi, Suarez, Neymar, Munir

Munir is not enough up front, but if Lucho will play Denis and Rafinha there we might be alright. Still no natural no.9-sub, which I would like, but maybe we can manage without.
More importantly I hope we get 2 CB's, where one of them easily could be young and unproven, but we need some extra with Mathieu having the risky surgery, being old and Masch. not staying forever.

Most plausible is something like this:

Ter Stegen, Bravo, Masip
Alves, Vidal, Alba, Marin*
Piqué, Mascherano, Mathieu, Marquinhos/Laporte*
Busquets, Iniesta, Rakitic, Sergi Roberto, Rafinha, Samper, Arda
Messi, Suárez, Neymar, Munir, Denis Suárez*

In: Adrián Marín (€5m), Marquinhos or Laporte (€50m) and Denis Suárez (€3m)
Out: Bartra (€12m), Vermaelen (?), Adriano (?), Douglas (free), Sandro (€4-6m), Song (free), Tello (€8m) and Halilovic (on loan)

So even if Vermaelen and Adriano leave for free, our transfer budget of €60m should cover our signings. With these sales, we actually have €26m left to spend. We might go for a better LB (José Gayà) or a back-up striker...

Yep. We'll sign N'Golo Kanté to play him in CB.

Now that I think about it... I think he'd make a very good LB for us. Abidal style. A bit short for a CB, but I'm sure we can find something for him.

AS has April fools every day of the year. :neymar:

I won't really comment on that news about swapping players because it's just a BS and not worth to comment but I've read some earlier rumours about Ozil so I'll give my opinion about him. He's a great player, no doubt about that, but I'm against buying him mostly for two reasons.

1. He's Arsenal player, that's enough reason to say no to him.

2. He plays best at AMC, position we don't have in our system. I don't think he can play CM in our system and I prefer Arda over him because he can play 4 different positions. If we plan to play with say 4-2-3-1 formation (as our "backup" formation to 4-3-3) in the future then Messi is best suited to play as AMC. If not him, we have other players who could play there.

Munir is actually a natural no.9 he's just being played out of position

I dont get why we are so poor (relatively speaking), how come Real has way more money than us? If we cant spend and invest after a decade of dominating the world we might drop near Valencia levels post Messi era.

we do pay higher wages and real is doing a rather good job with marketing and such. also they are still milking their galactico era. as will we in the next decades. no chance we will end even close to Valencia financially who are a rather bad example to compare anyway with their stadium drama.

I get that papers make stories up, but do they have to be this bad at it? So unlikely transfer, it is ridiculous.

No Barca signing of an Arsenal player is unlikely, especially not when he is approaching 30. If there is one thing we know for sure, it is that Arsenal players will arrive no matter how many flops it generate.
