Good April Fools joke Sport.

We were linked with 20 different Lbs and Rbs lately.
Most of them are very average players for our standards.

So, this doesn't sound as an April fools joke.
Just a regular link with any semi-decent Lb/Rb who can run without tripping and who can pass the ball into a desired direction from time to time.

No Barca signing of an Arsenal player is unlikely, especially not when he is approaching 30. If there is one thing we know for sure, it is that Arsenal players will arrive no matter how many flops it generate.

Why it is unlikely:
1. Doesn't play a position where we currently look for reinforcements
(+ we would more likely look for subs, not starters, if we did).
2. Former Madrid-player
(therefore more unlikely that we bid on him + more unlikely that he wants to go here)
3. RM has a anti-barca-clause included in his contract, so they can match our bid and get him.
4. If RM decides not to match it, Arsenal has to pay 1/3 of the difference between 50 m. € and the salesprice to RM.
5. Arsenal won't sell. They have few WC-players, and Özil + Sanchez are some of the best in PL. They have money, but need good players.
6. Price would be more than our entire transfer-budget this summer, and we have urgent needs for good subs other places on the field.

Alright, I don't want to go into further discussion of this, it seems pointless. I know papers just throw names around, but this one just wasn't thought through in a way that it, IMO, undermines all future rumours from that particular media.

There are some good LB options in La Liga. Gaya would be the best but I doubt Valencia is willing to sell. Then both Jaume Costa and Adrian Marin (who is apparently one of our top targets) from Villarreal and Jonny Castro (Celta). Yuri Berciche (Sociedad) could also be a solid option.

Think is it more likely that Barca will for a back up left back that can play a few positions. LB/CB or LB/RB etc.

That seems to be what they look for in back up players.

i dont rate him high, but you cant say that he would not be good sub for jordi alba

For both LB and LCB. It is obvious we are looking for a player who can play both positions... We tried it with mathieu, but he is poor as LB. Rojo would be a good choice.. Decent player and not very expensive.

Rojo is not even good enough for Man Utd.

The guy's a fraud.

Sell Arda, buy Pogba lol. No but seriously, I'd do it.

Not realistic. Arda is here to stay. He cost a huge amount of money for such an old player, his sell-on value is close to zero and Pogba will cost an unbelievable amount of money.
