We should robb Tot'nam:
- Kane
- Eriksen
- Rose

And most of our problems would be solved.

Lol. And where would we get 150M€? And BTW, we still wouldn't cover our biggest need (CB).

I just hope we stay away from buying "big name" overpriced and (somewhat) overrated players from EPL (and especially Arsenal ). There are a lot of good players in La Liga who we could get for half a price or cheaper. I'd much rather "rob" Villarreal for players like Bailly, Jaume Costa/Adrian Marin and Bakambu together with of course bringing Denis back.

And when already talking about Villarreal. During their game yesterday I was thinking about sending Munir on loan to them next season and quite like that idea. It would be a good team for him to play a lot, most likely also CL football. Maybe he wouldn't be a starter but Marcelino rotates a lot and always plays with two forwards, so it wouldn't be as much pressure to him as if he would go to a team that only play with one true striker.

And maybe Samper too. Bruno Soriano is 32 already and can't play every game anymore so Samper could be good in rotation with him, Pina and Trigueros.

Here s what i would do:

BUY: Umtiti, Vela/Lacazzete, Denis Suarez, (if we sell both Bartra and Verm, then replace them with Eric Bailly)
SELL: Vermealen/Bartra Adriano, Sandro
LOAN: Munir, Halilovic

Here s why: Vela/Lacazete are not to old (27 and 25 this summer), good enough for be backup for MSN (and can play all 3 positions in attack) and would be arround 25-30 mio IMO.

Umtiti can cover both CB and LB, young, good, Mascherano kind of player that would work well with pique. Also much cheaper then maybe Laporte, Marquinhos, Stones...

And save money for next year to buy super player like Pogba/Dybala.

Not a bad plan but I think Lacazette will be much more expensive (and unwilling to sit behind MSN) than you expected with almost all big PL clubs after him. And while I liked Vela couple of years ago it looks like he has lost motivation and is not the same anymore. There are also rumours he wants to go to MLS to be closer to Mexico just like Giovani did last year.

Don't know enough about Umtiti but as I already said I think we should buy CB AND LB not just one player to cover both positions.

Who's the first player in your IN category?

For the OUT category, I would add :mathieu:

Why the hell anyone would offload Mathieu is beyond me. I mean, I could understand reservations against his signing in the first place, but now? He'd fetch a measly sum, doesn't mind riding the bench, and is a perfectly capable backup CB.

We'll see what Mathieu comes back from injury. Before his injury he was a great back-up CB, but he took a big risk with that surgery and there's a chance that he won't ever be the same player as before.

Still, if we sell him it will be for a symbolic 2M fee. No point in getting rid of him.

We have to pay out his contract to get rid of him under surgery at that age. Its fantasy to believe we'll be able to offload him for free, let alone get money for him.

Why would we want to get rid of him? Plenty teams would take him on a symbolic fee.

I havent said we should get rid of him. We would have to pay up to get rid of him and I dont see the point in that.

No, plenty teams would not take over his contract at that age and him being under surgery. Hell, there were even suggestions that we would have to pay out Xavi's contract as well instead of releasing him on a free transfer.

You act like this surgery of his is completely debilitating. I know there was talk of a certain risk involved, but if everything goes to plan, he'll be perfectly fit for fight this summer.
If you're talking about hypothetically getting rid of him right now, then I'm even more confused, as that was never the point of this discussion.
