After incoming transfers and sales, we spent €85m that Summer. With a few players leaving this Summer and the wage budget freeing up, along with getting more money through Nike, we should be able to spend more if needed.

We should stay well clear of Bellerin. They hype is rapidly reaching epic proportions, typical of a player who has had one good season in the EPL, and the value is really bad. I suspect we might try to chase him all summer, like Thiago Silva and Marquinhos, with laughable prices being offered (60m+20m for example) since Arsenal is not a selling club anymore.

I read somewhere Ricardo Rodriguez has a buyout clause of 25 mil, if that's right then we should definitely buy him. If he doesn't want to move then buy some reliable LB from La Liga clubs, I don't really watched left backs this year but there were some "good enough for bench", cheap, young names thrown out here. And I already stated that we should buy a CB or two.

There is a large age gap between Puyol and Thiago though. I dont think its fair to say that they are "one generation". The time is overdue for another great player from la masia, but so far, absolutely nothing.

The only one looking a little bit extra is Xavi Simons, and hes like 12?
Lee was hyped, but i have my doubts. Hes quite small, and hes not that fast.

It looks like a midfielder is not even on our list of transfer targets this summer, bummer.

Yeah I reckon it is not the utmost priority compared to strengthening our defense, but we seriously lack a midfielder who can not only hold the ball and dictate the pace the game, but also able to drive it forward and create opportunities. Iniesta is the only one who can do that when he is in good form, Arda hasn't shown that and none of the other midfielders we have have shown that ability either.

Pogba is my pipe dream, it doesn't look like we will ever be able to land him. Pjanić of AS Roma would be very nice too but we are not going for him at all, he will probably end up at either Juventus or Bayern.

I hate this stupid board. We should always go after big names. They pay for themselves. Getting Pogba would not only help in the field but in the business side of the game. Look at Madrid with Bale who was totally worth the 100 million.

But we also sold Cesc and alexis so i guess we came close to it.

We spend less than 70M net IIRC as we sold many players.Barto said we will pay 80M so he actually spent less than he said he would

The -85 was depending on the reports which was mostly inaccurate .for example reports said we paid over 90M for Suarez but at the end of the summer it was confirmed we paid 81M for him

I saw somewhere that Madrid are pursuing Pogba, and we are pursuing Mustafi, Wendell and Verratti and are getting Ben Arfa on a free.

We can sell: Masip (1M), Vermaelen (4M), Bartra (12M), Alves (Free), Montoya (3M), Douglas (1M), Adriano (4M), Song (5M), Halilovic (10M + Buy-Back Clause), Tello (10M), Sandro (Free).
That's 50 million, not including what we can get from Turan.

We could buy Mustafi (CB, 30M or 18M + Bartra), Mauricio Lemos (CB, 5M and loan out), Bellerin (RB, 30M), Wendell (LB, 20M), Denis Suarez (3M), Ben Arfa (Free) and Verratti (70M).
In total about 160 million euros, so we'll be spending about 90 million minus the sale of Turan. I don't think it's that bad.

Our team shouldnt be "fine", it should be the best.
Its not fine on all parts of the field.
Our team is also aging, even though we all love Iniesta, Masche, Alves they are getting old.

I think if we should get players, it should be UCL winning players, not players that makes no differance from what we have, like D.Suarez and Halilovich.
We have alot of players that arent up to the standard we need, especially in midfield, and alot of players that are out on loan that we really should sell, like Song and Tello.
Rafinha and Arda are sellable, Rakitic is decent defensivly but doesnt create anything going forward.
I would sell Rafinha and Turan if that can bring us Pogba.

Get rid of Mathieu and Vermaelen, get Mustafi. If Masche also leaves, get Umtiti aswell.
If Alves leaves, try signing Bellerin.

Its time to start building for the future.

That's my point, we need to decide either we are staying with this for now and just add some firepower from bench or we are rebuilding, then we need to splash big...but also need to say thanx and goodbye to some players even starters like Alves or Masch.
That's why signings like Arda make little sense to me, cost quite a lot, older, not adding that much.
