This is the reason the squad is so weak.

Our ideal is a world class XI ideally with a good few La Masia in it and La Masia fill out the squad, but we've only got Roberto and Rafinha who are any use. We're desperate for a right back and another left back but this is where Montoya and Grimaldo should have stepped up. We've got no back up to MSN and are scouting round 30 somethings when the likes of Munir, Sandro, Cuenca, Tello, Deulefeu, Adama have all flopped.

Lets be real, we got lucky as hell with the Messi generation. La Masia can still provide a gem every few years but the idea that we can expect multiple players to come up and be the next Busi, Inisesta, Messi, etc is absurd.

No, but we should be able to produce more Robertos or Pedros to fill out the squad and develop a Montoya or Bartra to be a good squad player rather than have to buy Vermalen or Mathieu.
When you look at the mess of a B team it's not going to change imminently.

The golden generation was a one off, but it's pathetic the lack of talent in recent years. We can't even get a Vazques or Moratta.

We can sell: Masip (1M), Vermaelen (4M), Bartra (12M), Alves (Free), Montoya (3M), Douglas (1M), Adriano (4M), Song (5M), Halilovic (10M + Buy-Back Clause), Tello (10M), Sandro (Free).
That's 50 million, not including what we can get from Turan.

In total about 160 million euros, so we'll be spending about 90 million minus the sale of Turan. I don't think it's that bad.

Yea..that has turned out well for us. Alen not nearly quality enough, and Denis a squadplayers at best.
Messi is also getting older and hes not a one man show, we have to start thinking about Pique/Messi also getting older.
We cant wait until we have to rebuild the whole team, that would cost way to much. We have to do it part by part, with CL quality players, not players that arent better than what we already have.
Pogba and Bellerin now or they end up in Chelsea/RM (Verratti would be better than Pogba but impossible) Mustafi now. Umtiti aswell if Masche leaves. Next year Dybala.
