Like I said on my post, I wonder if Jonny would be brought in as the new "Adriano" aka someone who can play both Positions to rest the starters or in need due to Injuries. I could see a scenario that Roberto or Vidal being direct starters while Jonny will occupy Adriano's old role.

I mean we all guys like cheap players and want the best deal for our club. But we have to understand that sometimes you get what you pay for in football. We have to sign smart but at the end of the day the best players for the system win you trophies.
And about that Jonny guy, I think he is a good option if Adriano walks away. I did not see anything special in him and I don't think he is first team material. By the way, I don't think Vidal will play at all next year, I mean he wasn't even called up in the squad last matches, even Douglas was ahead of him. I don't know what happened between him and Lucho but I read he'll likely leave on loan so we desperately need a world-class RB.

Agree. I see Jonny more as Alba backup than Alves's replacement. According to TM he played 22 games last season as LB, 11 as RB and 3 as CB so he's very versatile. If we get him and Umtiti we'd have a lot of option in defense and that would possibly also allow us to play Roberto some games in midfield if needed. I think it's also smart to get versatile players because their playing time will increase that way. I'd be happy if we get both of them.

If Masche stays which seems very likely now I'd be ok with getting those two. I also don't think a player like Mustafi would come here to be backup (or used heavily in rotation) to Masche for at least another season, maybe two. If Masche continues to play on this level it will be very hard for anyone to replace him in first XI, at least in important games. Umtiti should at least push Mathieu for 3rd CB spot this season and also be used to rest Masche against easier opponents and then eventually replace him next season as starter next to Pique if Masche decides to leave next summer. If we also get Lemos I'd loan him out for a season and then return him next year as replacement for Mathieu.

Why sign RBs that are hardly better than Vidal? and 29 years old? :/
If we sign Umtiti and Masche stays, i dont really see any need for Lemos.
Rather sign a better option next year.

If we dont sign Pogba now and he isntead goes to RM/PSG/Chelsea, wth do we do then? Theres a astronomical HUGE gap to the next player after Pogba, Veratti and Gündogan.
