Fuck it go get Eric Dier! pair him with Busi and let Messi play AM.

Thnigs need freshened up.

Double pivot did not work with Busi and Masch. 2 great DM's of current generation. How will it work now. Plus I don't want to see Messi at AM yet. He generally drifts in games and waits for some moments to burst in pace and create a chance or score a goal. He can do it better from RW. We can try new things once messi loses some of his agility. Until then 4-3-3 is the way to go.

LMAO. During the group stage: our midfield is great, look at how Iniesta and Rakitic are playing. After Ro16: They're all shit! Doom, gloom, pass the shrooms. :rofl1:

Who said that? The same people that has said the midfield is great over and over.
People said Rakitic played good in a game in Euro.
People said Ineista played good in a game in Euro.

Not that our Barcelona midfield is great. Playing in a National team and Club are different.
Also now its qutie clear, again, that Rakitic needs ALOT of space and freedom to do his thing. When he gets under preassure, he dissapears.
Iniesta, while sometimes genious, is getting older, he cant keep up the pace for whole seasons anymore, and also tends to dissapear in more games.

Rafinha, Suarez and turan are nowhere near to step in if those 2 gets injured our plays bad.
We have noone to start getting into the system to replace Iniesta one day.

We still dont have a creative CM, our creativity in midfield is severly lacking.
We have an extremly hard time getting past defences becouse Messi have to drop down and has to rely on individual brilliance of MSN instead of our play.

I like what I've seen from Dier.

Not Barça level yet though.

Which is why we need to sign him (not just him, but any player we like really) before he becomes certified Barca level and PSG & City jump with $$$$. These are though times, if we wait until we are 100% convinced X player is truly great, by that time the other big fish in the pond had probably convinced themselves too, and some of them would throw 70m. on the table in a heartbeat probably.

The idea is to get convinced the fastest about a certain player, that's how you stay ahead in the game. Thiago Silva wasn't Barca level maybe at Milan in 2011, but he was pretty damn close. That was the time when we should have moved for him. Same with Marquinhos. He wasn't certified world class at Roma, but he was pretty damn impressive for an 18 years old or what he was. We should have transferred him then. Instead, PSG did, signed them, and now we're chasing them to sign them from PSG, and it's pretty hilarious because there's no way in hell a club with PSG's ambitions would sell to us something they see as valuable for them.

So, yea, basically if we like Dier, jump on him sooner, rather than later.

Isn't that exactly what we seem to be doing these days with Umtiti, possibly Lemos and those Brazilian kids?

I hope not.

Aleña need to play. Not be a bench option. If Lucho fucks up then....

Munir treatment means he will gets minutes with 1st team but will still be mainly used in B team.
Players need minutes, but sometimes a mix of minutes at low level along few minutes and training at the highest level can be better at times.
Not trying to make a comparison, but Messi himself got this treatment back in 2004/2005 season from Rijkaard and it wasn't too bad for him.usually every youngster have to start with little minutes at the 1st team at some point
