Where this Marquinhos as RB even comes from? We need a CB and we are buying a player who plays at CB position. I wouldn't mind defensive RB but Marquinhos only played few times as RB, he played once as DM, so I guess he is our new DM as well.

Nah. All good RBs usually are moved to CB early on if they are tall enough. Thats why there are 20 times as many great CBs as RBs in football. Puyol impressed as RB when he started out. He was instantly moved to CB to be more involved. So if we want a great RB, we should definitely look at CBs as well.

Well, Alves is worth 10-15M imo (yeah i know some barca fans hate him for what know reason now and that he is 31 but he's still among the Top 5 at this position IMO), so it would mean 30-35M, about what we paid for Marcos.

I'd be sad that he leaves but we would not lose money on him and we get Alves. I could live with it.

But so far the french twitters that follow BIS are getting wild at Sport spreading lies again. It's kind of ugly.

But about a supposed Done deal 20M+Alves, there's nothing. And french football fans are annoyed at spanish medias now.

Not too sad that it isn't true, though. I want to read the news that we have signed Benatia before anyone else at this point. I'm afraid Zubi will feel like it's "mission accomplished" in regards to fixing our defence if he signs Marquinhos, and stops negotiating with Benatia, letting him slip to City or Chelsea.

I am sure we have multiple balls in the air now. I think we are aiming to conclude our signings early to avoid World Cup price increases and Lucho probably wants a full pre-season with all the players. At least that is logical.
