Marquez came as French V-Champions/almost champion with Monaco, but OK, let's say he wasn't Barca material but, though, cough, we're talking 2003. Yeah, he was kinda OK.
Yaya? Well, as much as I remember the guy was one of the most promising young players in his position with a very quick ascension, his transfer was seen very well from the start.

Thats not really true though is it. Eto was one of the top scorers in La Liga at 22, while Marquez was voted best defender in Ligue 1 for Monaco I believe. Yaya was definitely quality for Monaco as well.

Do you have something against the Serie A? Ciro Immobile is really good. He just had his breakout season. And if Dortmund are in for him, that shows that he's quality.
