Yup, fans are already trying to get the clubs attention like they did with that last guy that got fired. Bet we won't sign him when they see that.

Let's see. It's not nearly as bad as that other chump. However, he probably shouldn't have been making fun of Messi like that.

Messi has done nothing (as in being invisible)
Is he even playing?
Its something along these lines, right?

The Sergi Guardiola guy made fun of Catalonia .That is huge difference
If the guy is a good talent those tweets shouldn't even be a problem tbh

Gerard Romero pretty much said that theirs a lot of CR7 fans in La Masia and weren't punished so in this case Guillemenot is safe unless he decides to pull a Sergi Guardiola and shit on Catalonia.

Xavi :worthy:
My opinion is exactly the same, for Barca there's no better mid than Verratti and no better forward than Dybala (if we were to strengthen those positions).

It seems he's Penaldo/Madrid fan...

Anyone who thinks Ronaldo is best is stupid. It's that simple.

Never heard of this guy Guillemenot, but he's a CR7-fan, so he's dead to me anyway.

And if we're really gonna buy a 18-year old swiss, it should be Breel Embolo.

He showed great promise at Roma then went on to continue playing well at PSG. Whenever he's gotten a run of games at PSG he's done great, many fans were angry when he got benched after Thiago Silva got healthy and Luiz started over him. Laporte gets consistent football when he's healthy and he's consistently inconsistent with some very, very bad performances.

Seems like Marquinhos has performed similar to Laporte this season.

I do agree with you though that the Brazilian showed great promise at Roma and made a good impression in PSG too initially, and personally, I wouldn't mind either of them.

Agree that this shouldn't stand in a way to get talented players to club. Not every kid can be Messi, Xavi or Iniesta fan. I don't care if CR is their idol until they don't start to behave like him (i.e. kick players etc,...). And if we get 10 or 12 yo kids to La Masia, then it's up to the coaches to teach them how to behave. If they are 17 or 18 when coming here, they should already know that.

Anyone who thinks Ronaldo is best is stupid. It's that simple.

Most of the footballers are stupid, nothing new. :)

You said "fail safe", not "stop gap". You shouldn't confuse the two.

Perhaps you have confused them because they can be the same thing, a temporary solution.

And speculation about why a player was signed says nothing about the role that that player actually fulfilled during his time at a club.

Mascherano has worked as a CB but this is neither his best position nor an ideal one for Barcelona, it has simply worked out for the most part despite being, in general, the weakest link in that defense

LCB and RCB scarcely qualify as multiple positions, and many CBs can play both. Marquinhos has proven a great many things, not the least of which being that he could change clubs and continents as a teenager, and secure a starting place in a club the size of Roma, in a position that usually requires much more experience to master.

Like I've already said, comparing a club legend who has played in more than 2 or 3 positions all over the pitch to a player who has yet to make his mark at any position is at the very least daft
