Actually the injury streak he had until the World Cup should be over. He constantly had problems after his ankle injury in the summer 2013 - and played with pain killers. Müller-Wohlfahrt put him out of combat until end of October to get him of that.

The problems this season had a lot more to do with incompatibilities between him and Alonso and a big flu that put him in bed 2 weeks in March. After that it seemed he physically did not really get fit again. But he did not have problems with his injuries anymore. If he still would have he would not make the transfer now.

What I do not like is the advertising video Beats made - it shows somehow that the transfer was not a last minute affair. It is typically Bastian somehow - he likes drama...

Danke schön, I too felt his "injuries" have been blown out of proportion. He is not as glassy as many people think. As a fan of Bastian's of many many years, I wish him the best and I hope him prove the naysayers wrong.

I thoroughly enjoyed this commercial, I thought it was very well made.

By the way, he was actually wearing the same headset on his way to Manchester yesterday. Cool.

Rooney wasn't that influential in our 2 title winning seasons after Ronaldo departed although he was terrific in 2 seasons where we finished second(a huge disappointment by our standards then)
