We are really lucky to have so much land in the center of the City. 105k seater and still manages to look spacius and uncrowded.

Look how much space there is between rows in that picture.

All of that adds to the comfort of match going experience far more than any other factor imo. Layout of the seating on Camp Nou is insanely good.

No that is the project presented in 2014-15. In that project some 10k season ticket holders were to be moved up to the third tier and replaced with VIP seats. Laporta threw that project in the trash can and made a new one with VIP seats in between 2nd and 3rd tier, in that way not moving any season ticket holders in 1st and 2nd tier.
I dreamed since I was a kid for that kind of renovation, completing the overhanging third ring. Yes, Bartomeu's plan was not that great in terms of money, but I still think Laporta made a mistake by adding those vip rings there and should have demolished the first stand too and build it again with 3 rings of vip boxes. Grass level and middle of the stand, and all in between vip seats.
Not moving fans is an excuse. Ruining the flow of the first stand will be less ugly

I like the vip rings placement under Laporta's changes. It works because the first section is low and not steep at all as it goes underneath the main 2nd tier which is the biggest. So, even though technically the vip ring is between 2nd and 3rd tier, due to the layout of the first ring... it is still low enough for an amazing panoramic view.

There was no need to demolish the first 2 tiers. They are perfect as they were, just degraded in time.

First 2 tiers were not great for viewing and quite shallow... well the 1st was due to 2nd over hanging.

If in first tier and fairly far back you had a a shallow view and obstructed quite badly by second tier.

The stadium is going to be beautiful and up there with Sagrad Familia!

Contrary to popular belief, I think that the Camp Nou will be ready by May because the rate at which the works are being done is outstanding and it looks extremely good. I hope it will be 60% complete by April, so we can have it ready for the CL semi final and the last 4 games of LLiga.

Underrated point. Mestalla feels like you are trying to scale everest.

I always felt that was part of the character and charm of the stadium. The sunk in 1st tier and the 2nd tier acting as roof for part of the 1st tier.

Debatable really. Some might prefer it. But I usually like higher places to see the entire field and the stands also, so I tend to agree.

There is no way anyone prefers those seats at back of 1st tier previously. You dont get sense of stadium. So low and shallow it is not a great view to even see the game positionally very well and when ball goes in air cant see it.

Have you sat in them?

Folk there ended up watching the screens a lot of the time as such a hard watch.

No. As I said, I prefer to sit higher up. But then I never buy tickets low on the first tier in any stadium due to not seeing the tactical aspects of the game. But I know people that buy them. 2nd tier is usually the best for me irrespective of stadium in question. After the stadium is finished, that is the ticket I'm gonna buy, 2nd tier.

Sat in them once as only tickets could get and never again. Waste of time.

After that always paid for second tier and half way up.

Huge, huge differnce in how experience the game.
