Azpilicueta has a great personality, tons of leadership and was one of the smartest footballers in his prime.

Currently he's lost his mobility and seems to struggle in 1 on 1 duels. Great guy to have in the dressing room though.

Can cover RB, LB, CB.

It's 13m gross. AS is reporting it so it might be your usual rumours , but I wouldn't put it past this club since they are obsessed with Spanish players.

All we are doing is kicking the can down the road when we sign old declining players again and again. You sign veterans as an addition for a title challenge or CL challenge on an already quality team, but we are not that. We are using them to plug holes as we get humiliated in Europe every season.

Not only is it not worth it in sporting terms, as he probably won't significantly improve us anyway, these old players also cost money which could be invested in younger players or otherwise saved to help us balance the salary cap.

Fullback has been a problem position for several years now. We should be looking for a quality young starter or prospect, not another old man. When he leaves after a few years we'll be no better off for it with a lighter pocket and another replacement needed for that position.
