Cesc didn't train with the group yesterday, but he's not ruled out for the Confederations Cup semis against Italy on Thursday [sefutbol]

Yeaaaaaaaaaah

He might not play because of injuries. He trained seperately with Soldado.

@barcastuff 1 h Because Barcelona won the Liga this season, they will pay Arsenal a 2M bonus for the transfer of Cesc in 2011. Next Liga, another 2M. [md]

I really hope that Cesc lives up to expectation come the next season. He was quite off the last season, merely projected a shadow of his true potential.

He was quite off last season. He had some runs of good games starting from October (when he had a brace against Sevilla) till he was injured against Betis in late December. Started 2013 somehow just below good then finished the season on a very good form. He was much better than his 1st season.

Cesc might have been a bit 'off', but his statistics are still impressive, and pretty much second best after Messi. His contributions to the team were more valuable than people think!

All his stats are goals and assist vs weak teams, like Alexis'. If you look at stats you can say that Fabregas>Iniesta>Xavi.

Whats the feeling amongst Barca fans on here and in general on the whole Fabregas v Thiago debate? would you rather see the club sell Fabregas for say 40 million and keep Thiago or would you rather lose Thiago than sell Fabregas?

The general consensus in the forum is indeed rather sell Thiago than Cesc. Personally I like Cesc and think he will still play an important role in Barca. Don't see why it should be one or the other.

Not saying it is an either or situation, just that if you had to lose one of them who would Barca fans accept losing more or rather lose full stop, i only ask because a lot of stories in the press that United went in hard for Fabregas earlier in the summer and were willing to pay big money but were told the player didnt want to leave hence the Thiago stuff.

Plus you have got 4 players of immense quality fighting for effectively 2 starting positions either side of Busquets, its not unreasonable to think thats slight overkill at least in the players minds.

Neither fabregas nor Thiago could add anything against the tougher teams at this point in time. If it was me, I'd sell them both and would buy quality Spanish midfielders for the future ( ex. Oliver Torres ). Neither Cesc nor Thiago will play the important games anyways
