Nope, I don't see that happening, but I do believe that there could be some truth behind in that he prefers Koke and Pogba over Cesc.

Indeed, they do suit his tactics more but I wouldn't really say that Cesc and Mata are similar kind of players. Cesc did after all play in a 2-man midfield when the Premier League was a lot more physical back in the days.

I'm not a fan of using defensive stats but these stats are actually great and worth posting to prove a point;

Cesc's defensive stats from 2009/2010 - 2,3 tackles per game and 2,3 interceptions per game.

He's lost some mobility but I still think he could handle the defensive side of the game even if he would have to play in central midfield.





Anyway, I don't think he's going to Chelsea. Would be a poor choice for him because I believe he would struggle in Chelsea's more rigid set-up.

And is there any more news in spain about this?
