I mean, when you really look at it, he's not playing THAT bad. He is just not playing stellar is all... not playing up to his great potential. But he is not neccessarily failing. He's keeping possession relatively decently and not making too many bonehead decisions. He's just not sharp around the edges and he doesn't currently have that extra special something that he has at his best that makes him shine. He'll get it back soon enough... Messi, Xavi, Iniesta all went through a phase like that this season.
I just hope he can pull out his best when it counts... now, in the most important games. This is how he will start to define himself.. showing up and making plays in the big games. Messi, Iniesta, Puyol, Pique, Xavi and co. have already proved themselves in the toughest situations... Cesc still has yet to really do this and now is his perfect chance. If he can get himself to his A game in the next couple weeks he can really make this a breakthrough year for himself.
