Cesc Fàbregas

Now Inter apparently want him. With Thiago going, I doubt Cesc is going anywhere for a long time.

I'd rather sell him than Thiago. Not that I necessarily want him out, and I am one of the guys who thinks he gets too much hate here. It's just that if I had to pick one to sell (or if selling him ensured that Thiago stays), I'd sell Cesc.

I wouldnt he is willing to stay and fight for his place, Thiago isnt. Thats enough for me.

As players there is not much in it, but people seem to dwell on any Cesc poor game and completely forget the errors Thiago makes - which there have been a few of.

Who needs Thiago Alcantara when you've got Cesc Fabregas?

I bet Thiago would be a lot more willing to stay and fight for his place if he were treated better. Selling Cesc can help too.

Besides, Thiago is younger and we need him a lot more than we do Cesc, as he can play in Xavi's position/role, while Cesc can't.

Cesc could easily be unhappy as well this past couple of seasons and the big games he has missed.

Thiago wants to go, let him go and build the team on players who want to be here. Dont sell those players to keep the unhappy ones happy!

If any player wants to go let them and particularly dont sell players who want to stay to facilitate unhappy ones.

Cesc never said that has a desire to leave,he propably has patience and wait for the right day to come so he has a regular place here. But ofcourse patience has its limits, its different what every player thinks of himself.

Yes that was pretty much my point.

Cesc was treated way better than Thiago was.

Anyways, if a player like Thiago (our 2nd best youngster and the future of our midfield) is unhappy, try to make him happy, don't just tell him to GTFO.

No if he is unhappy let him leave and dont keep him at the expense of a player that is willing to fight for his place and may very well be the better player anyway.

In what way was Cesc treated WAY better than Thiago.

People seem to have rose tinted glasses when it comes to how good Thiago was this season.

Seriously guys. You are overestimating the quality of Thiago. He is nowhere near the player Cesc is. Thiago hasn't really impressed above U21 level and he's not a youngster anymore. If he wants to leave, he should leave, there's no way his performances merit a regular place in the first team.

I still sense the resentment toward Cesc on this forum. Thiago has great potential but Cesc is just the better player flat out. That's not disrespect it's just how it is.

Some here are still angry that Crsc left for Arsenal at 16 years of age but it was the right decision for him and he was brought back to be Xavi's successor.

I know many wanted it to be Thiago and while he's amazing he still has needs a lot of polishing and maybe a move is the best for him.
