For me it's more of an 'in your face' to all those stupid biased English/Scottish commentators. Scottish teams are just an embarrassment in Europe and now with Pool out it's a really great feeling. Plus I won't miss Gerrard at ALL. Only downside is that I feel bad for Eddy..

You're a Beckham fan? Doesn't really seem in character for you.

I know, right?

I guess I was a young teen when he emerged, whipping the ball 50 yards like it was nothing. I mean, I never liked him as much as pep, or giggs, or cantona, or rivaldo. but I'm a fan. he strikes me as a decent guy, tbh. a bit dim, but just an honest pro. plus the way the media goes nuts over anything he does is hilarious to me.

Vargas isn't just a poor defensive LB, he's a poor LB period. He can't be as wild as a defender and everything from his crossing skill to his movement suffers because of it, that experiment ended in a disaster. He kicks major ass as a left winger however.

he does indeed.

I'd love to see him and zlatan have a contest where they try to kick the ball harder than each other. :D

its really the arrogance of liverpool fans that is so hilarious to see.

edward, you probably remember this-

So I really don't want to stick around for the domestic league and don't get me started on europe. Firstly losing to Fiorentina and Lyon at home is a disgrace - and they are average don't care what anyone says.

So do I want to mix it on thursday nights with crap teams like Celtic or Villarreal? no.

just sounds really really arrogant when you call good teams- mere average.

While I never liked Beckham's one trick game or the media obsession with him I respected him as a hard working pro even as a dirty Madridista scum but the flakiness of the LA Galaxy/Milan saga made me lose a lot of respect for him. I don't blame him for wanting to leave LA as the move was always destined to be a mistake but he didn't handle the situation with the dignity you would expect from the self-proclaimed saviour of American soccer.

Also Vargas and Ibra should have a manliness competition, that would make the universe explode in awesomeness. Vargas is so cool he can pull of a soulpatch without looking like a douchebag, I think only Villa can do that too.

Yeah Eddy I agree. I'm fucking glad we don't have to play you lot again this season, I've been getting sick of it!

Funny, I remember you calling Fiorentina a small club before, I thought you agreed with Gio's philosophy that clubs with "winning cultures" always beat the commoners no matter what?

In all seriousness though this is a blessing in disguise for Liverpool, I think you can finally get rid of Rafa Benitez after this season and finally start building something.
