It's weird that you're trying to impose your ideals into another fanbase. Madrid doesn't have a specific style but they play attractive football most of the season and only close shop when they need to get a result against a stacked team, usually in a second leg away from home. Just contrast the first and second legs against Man City this year, one was the former while the second was a perfect example of the latter. No reasonable fanbase is expecting their team to live and die by a "philosophy".

Capello's football was significantly less appealing than Ancelotti's and the results weren't even comparable. Ancelotti won the long-awaited Decima in his first season whereas Capello eked out a league title on goal difference against a lackluster Barcelona and got embarrassed in the round of 16 vs a trash Bayern Munich. Ancleotti would have met the same fate if that's what he served in his first season.

True, the football under Capello was actually dire, believe me, i watched some of it, Ancelotti's football is definitely better, and always has been.
We scored 60 something goals in that league campaign, we only won because we faced a similiar abysmal Barca, but even then, they had a much better g/d than us.

Comparing that to Ancelotti's team when he returned is a joke.

Yeah, let's talk philosophy when Barto the war criminal spend 500m on three bums, gave fat contracts to the likes of Lenglet and crippled the club for a decade or two.

Only thing that keeps us above water is La Masia.
Real bought Hazard for 120, James for 80, Jovic for 66, then a weird guy Bale.

Still won 6 CLs in the last 11 years.

But as said before, that's Barca vs Real.

We can win only when we have the best generation ever.
They can win with average squads.

We can win only when we have 2-3 seasons of perfect transfers, like in 2006' or 2011'.
They can win without Cr7, Bale, Benzema, or a few years after Hazard's and Jovic's transfers.

We always have excuses.
Someone else is always guilty, it's never our philosophy's fault.

On the other hand, you could ask a question: what if our philosophy is like Jose Mourinho?
= it both worked wonders in one moment in time.
It was new, it was fresh, it was awesome.
Eventually, everyone took the best parts from those two and added their own, new ideas. And the football moved on, with some new ideas, and new ways of winning.

Yet, Barca and Mou got stuck in time and never evolved after their glory days.

Let me guess: Mou is also never guilty in his head, right?
He still thinks that he is the special one, the best.

The same as us.
Ask an average Barca fan is there a better way of playing/philosophy than ours?

Also, you can look at Barca vs Real approaches this way:
Barca won 1-2 CLs ever without Messi in the team.
Real has won 15 CLs wuthout Messi in the team.

We can win only when everything is perfect or when we have Messi.
Can you imagine Barca winning CLs with someone like Rodrigo in attack? I can't.

You're welcome
What grade would you give Camavinga?

Not extraordinary, but not any obvious mistakes for you to pounce on either, otherwise i'm sure you would have pointed them all out already.
I didn’t watch game my man. Was swimming in waterfall ponds.

But let’s not change my original claim gradually over time,as to not have it get noticed, to win the debate. I never said he’s +]^{e. I said madridistas overhyped him in first season and attributed qualities to him that he doesn’t have. Not extraordinary is what MY CLAIM was.

You couldn't said it better.. The key word is mentality wich we lack.. If we had just 50% of mentality Real Madrid has when playing Champions League we would be 2nd most successfull team by now, surpassing Milan with 7 titles.. Like you said we have to wait for golden generation to win for some european glory again, till then we can be happy if we win La Liga or Copa Del Rey, have no bussiness in Europe for many years..

I can't believe it's been 9 years since Barcelona last won the Champions League; really puts things into perspective.
And it will be 10 years before Barca get the chance to win it again.

Let's be real though. Next season:

-Ter-Stegen, who is a serial loser and specialist in failure, will still be our starting GK and likely the captain of this team.
-Lewa will the starting ST
-We will be without a world class DM
-Cubarsi and Yamal will still be starters even though they are just teenagers and should only be options off the bench.
-There will be little to no quality off the bench or impact subs.

I think Barca fans will need to prepare for the 12-15 year mark before realistically competing for a CL again.
