Did anyone tune in to sky sports news yesterday to catch the press conference? I watched it for 2 hours and the only thing they mentioned was this:

"Barcelona midfielder Andrayas Iniesta believes he will be fit for the Champions League final. The player who has a thigh injury announced on his website that he will be fit to start the final."

Thats it. Yet they spent twenty minutes filming floyd mayweather's CAR.
lol, that's pretty rubbish. They said they would be focussing on press conferences aswell didn't they?

It'll more likely be shown Sunday evening/Monday onwards and slowly build up more and more untill the game.

sadly,it went just as you predicted maz.

i saw more of pep on there this morning though,so maybe they'll chop it up and spread it out??

also, that mayweather thing,it was excruciating to watch a tv network getting giddy because some cars were going to park outside. :banghead:
but given that it's the same people who bring us the terrible, but strangely hypnotic Fox news,i suppose i should no longer be surprised by anything they do.

Between 5 and 7 (or maybe even 8) i didnt see pep's face once. To be honest i should have known. Any time they say they are going to focus on a foreign team they always announce on the hour "coming up...we speak to xyz ahead of such and such a clash"...then they put a 2 minute piece at the end of the show. Its stupid. Is it worth watching it today? Was anything important said?

I was the same as you maz, tuned in but found and saw nothing, they instead were masturbating profusely over Mayweather.

I've noticed alot of English patriotism over Man Utd today. I suppose this is a reaction to the likes of the Daily Mail portraying this final as a "UK vs Europe" final...claiming that almost everyone in mainland Europe wants Barça to win, so they are stirring people up into a frenzy of wanting Man Utd to win...Heath seems to be the only alright Utd fan i've seen and heard from, the rest seem to be celebrating as if they have won already, some even calling Barça a crap team which couldn't be further from the truth...

It makes me hope we shut them up. But like one Utd fan on here said if we lose we'll have the excuse of missing 3/4 of our backline if we win there will surely be anm excuse manufactured by the press, most likely the referee.

Everytime Barca wins crucial matches. They blame it on the Ref.

We have a lot of Luck and most of it just happens to be "Good-Luck" for Barca and Bad-Luck to the other side. LoL
Whatever, they can punt all they want. it don make a difference to me at all.
such is football....:)

what happened most recently... were united awarded a penalty or denied one? serious q. coz it could affect things in rome. well maybe not coz the ref is awesome, but, we'll see.

I, too, watched them babble over mayweather's car. ffs that was atrocious. they didn't even MENTION barca! even when mayweather got into the studio he was kinda dull. apparently he was sleeping in the car and he looked half-asleep on set. his answers were dull as fuck. I was hoping he'd be a bit more brash. or at least go all clubber lang on georgie thompson. I mean if I'm gonna miss a barca press conference I should at least get entertainment!

they're mostly focusing on the final day in england, and there's a great deal of outrage at our squad for sunday cos we're playing hull, and the result will have a bearing on who goes down.
i did see pep talking in good english this morning for a while, but was getting the kids ready for school/nursery so couldn't focus on what he said (not that they showed much anyway ).

btw,our squad for sunday is.
Kuszczak, Amos, Neville, Brown, De Laet, Ferdinand, Chester, Eckersley, Simpson, Fabio, Nani, Fletcher, Gibson, Tosic, Martin, Drinkwater, Macheda, Welbeck.
so i'm guessin that Rio will play a part.....:nervous2:

ooh, drogba and bosingwa charged....wtf with ssn??
why not wait til there's a story before breaking the news that news is coming

and Meta,if you're talking european "luck" wise, then i'm gonna,as unbiasedly as possible, assume that there could be a perception that you got some luck in the semi, which could be a bad thing for you i suppose, but i'd like to think that these things are irrelevant and i'm hoping and praying that whatever the outcome,it's not spoilt by any form of dubiosity.

just seen it all again.
he said, when asked,i guess (?) about united physically/football-y compared to chelsea
chelsea, they are a marvellous team, but also manchester defend very very well, with 4,5,6,7 players, when i see rooney run on the left side with huge spirit,it's a demonstration they are a huge team....there are similar things about chelsea and m/cr but up front is faster, with ronaldo, rooney tevez, park, tevez, when we lose the ball they kill us......so we have to try to keep the ball as much as possible and attack in the right way,if not,if we attack in an ok lets go in front way (i think he means unthinking, judging by his motions, but just can't find the right words/phrase...which is entirely understandable as it's not his 1st language) ,we have to attack with the brain and pay attention not to lose the ball in difficult areas.
