I have a hard time seeing Klopp taking over a club like Barca, Real Madrid, Bayern, Juventus....basically the top dogs. I think it's way more likely he accepts an offer from Atletico.

I guess but Klopp was just being used as an example to drive the point really. If Barca really wanted a top manager offering them a huge salary and paying the club like Bayern did for Naglesmann is all they can do really.

Plus nothing lasts forever, there comes a point when the manager and his current club feel they may need to go in separate directions.

Right now, there doesnt seem to be many available, but coaches doesnt last long, wouldn't surprise me if, say, Klopp would take such an offer after he is done with Liverpool.

Exactly none available so not all about throwing money at top coach waiting on the call.

Cant see Klopp at Barca at all.

I agree.

Right now our best bet is likely Xavi. When is the question.

Bring in Xavi with Mascherano as his #2.

I think Barca needs to be at a point like in 2008 to attract someone like Klopp. Like really a manager-based project, and none of the marketing-driven model of running the club that Rosell and Barto instilled.

There is no top coaches available to throw money at so doesnt work like that.

Nagglesman is a gamble as well and cant be classing him as a top coach either.

Bayern cane make more mistakes than anyone else and worse case they just dont win the CL.

Maybe, but I think Klopp is a special character. He's got more of an underdog mentality where he want to stick it to the big boys. He want to resonate with the fans, with the working class and not the elitism of Barca or RM.

But Bayern still paid for him to go there, that's the point im making. Money talks after all. All Barca can hope for is to try and turn some heads and tempt them to lead a new manager driven project at a historically huge club. No matter how poor Barca or Madrid might be, the chance to manage them doesn't usually come around twice.

It's all irrelevant at this point anyway because 99.9% certain Xavi will be next. Just got to hope he works out and gets the players he feels will be best for his system.

I understand your point, but even though Liverpool were indeed underdogs at the time he took over, "sticking it to the big boys" isnt exactly what one describe managing one of the two biggest clubs in England :p

Exactly. Won't take long for Barca/Madrid to rack up some more exits from CL to really be a place where they are just that, former CL favorites, and current underdogs looking to challenge again.

Yeah, but Liverpool had barely won anything for two decades apart from a CL trophy with Benitez. They were struggling a lot when Klopp took over and Liverpool fans are different than any other fanbase in England, for better or worse.

More in that working class mould.

I wonder if Klopp even want to manage superstars.

We won't have too many of those soon. So that will take care of itself.

Different if saying Barca are missing out on a top coach as wont spend the money and depends on whether class Naglesman that for now.

There is no top coach out there waiting for Barca to offer the money to go. That may change in future but for now there isnt and I would bet Barca would pay a fortune to likes of Pep or Klopp if ever available anyway.

Xavi will definitely be next as they will gamble on him as no obvious candidate even if willing to make them highest paid coach in world.

Nah, you can't sign managers from top clubs if they don't want out. It's not as much a money thing. It's about seizing the opportunity and deciding quickly. Because these managers aren't jobless for long.

Before you get a new manager get rid of the seniors. They are deadwood. All the seniors bar Messi have to go. And I honestly wish he would go TO PSG.
Laporta is out of his fucking depth ditto Perez. They're desperate and they might fuck this up even more.

They will leave, step-by-step. Pique and Busquets I think won't be here past this next season. Alba is a tricky one.

The goal is to rebuild while remaining competitive.
