Bayern Munich themselves have associated the club with the same people. Qatar Airways is their sleeve sponsor. Doha is their base during Winter Break training camp.

As I have wrote today, in a simplified way, imagine that you have 3 ways of scoring goals:
1. after possession/shortpasses around the box
2. counters (from pacey forwards)
3. from crosses/headers

If you play Jesus and Sterling, you can't do a no3.
So, you have only 2 weapons.

Pep is always intentionally sacrifying one attacking weapon (crosses and headers) for possession and counters.

Now go and analyze RM and Bayern.
They always have 3 attacking weapons.
And crosses and headers are especially useful when nothing else works (late in the game).
How many times CR7 and Ramos scored in the 93rd minute?
Minute 93 is not the moment for possession and TikiTaka around the box, it's a moment for gambling and desperate crosses to create a havoc in the box.

But hey, Pep doesn't need crosses.
Since his teams are doing just fine with possession and counters.
7 CL seasons after Barca, 7 KOs.
With some really admirable defeats like against Monaco, Lyon and similar.
He is not even losing to Bayern or RM.
He just lost to the 7th placed team from the farmers ligue who had 11 wins, 7 draws and 10 defeats in a farmer's league.

So, don't ever change Pep.
You are doing it perfectly good.
Why changing anything, I mean, it worked in 2011, lol.

What are you talking a out?

No one can guarantee winning the champions league, it isn?t a 38 match league that the best and most consistent team wins. A manager can do so much but there are so many other factors that come into play.

A manager should be judged for certain things such as reading the game beforehand and the type of interventions he makes during the game.

A midfield of Rodri, KDB and Fernandinho are not midgets.

BBZ will make those claims when doesnt even apply to this City team.

Also Atletico and Juve are out, who are more “physical” yet don’t have a CL between them in how many years. Logic is all over the place with that one.

BBZ, you'd almost have a point if City wouldn't have created big chances to score in the 2nd half. Since they did, City didn't lose because Pep didn't use crosses, they lost because his attackers couldn't finish amazingly clear chances and because his defenders and keepers fucked up like they always do.

I do agree he is also to blame because he selected these players, he and his staff. And they wasted a lot of money on not so great players.

You keep saying Man City dont cross when cross ball more and score from more than any team in EPL.

Analyze Real? Who City put out and one of the goals in Spain was a header from Jesus....

Just stop spouting your nonsense.

City went out as they were not good enough and Pep got it wrong and he does have much more physical team these days and did tonight.

Yes.

It's not Pep.

It's:
1. individual errors of defenders
2. individual errors of a GK
3. misses of his strikers

Pep did everything right, like in the last 7 years.
It's just that everything ELSE is wrong, not him.

You are just ignoring everything people are posting here. They are blaming Pep for overcomplicating things once again in a knockout game, trying a new formation, leaving his offensive players on the bench. He is definitely the one to blame for this loss. However, it is also true his strikers had bad misses.

He wants us to 'analyze' Real as a team who have multiple threats.... a team City beat fairly easily and scored header against.

at this point fairly certain bbz doesn't read any user posts

just copy pastes his notes from the "valverde good, pep bad" document saved on his computer

are we sure he's not a bot?

Real have an actual "playmaking" silky striker Benzema leading the line for them whereas Jesus is a poacher-type forward. But all BBZ can see is that Benzema is taller

Amen. Don't think I have seen a single post in here not blaming Pep on this.

No one is claiming that Pep is not to blame lol.

But I don't see how you can blame Pep for starting Jesus. Who was his alternative? Perhaps he could have stuck Rodri there and he done something useful for once.

In BZ world Jesus is some silky ball playing CF due to his height.. which he isnt. He is more physical and relies on movement and workrate more than anything else.

Not even a great finisher or top technical player.
