This is the team I'd pick but I'd have Zouma there instead of either one of Terry or Cahill, depending on the speed of the forward line of the opposition team. Also Cesc out for Ramires in certain games too as Cesc just doesn't cut it defensively. Other than that, this would be my first XI.

You write off Ivanovic so quickly? I rate Azpi and Baba but he had a superb last season.

Well the Last two league games Ivanovic was getting torn apart from pacy wingers and made several defensive mistakes that cost Chelsea a couple of goals. To Mou he trusts Ivanovic a lot but with Ivanovic making costly errors and not being able to handle against pacy wingers Mou most likely Threw in the towel and decided to bench Him and move back Azpi to RB and Baba to be a starter at LB.

I haven't written him off, but Cesar is just better down the right, and his crossing is pretty good actually. Iva puts 1 good cross per 10 games, and he gets a lot of joy when attacking down the right. As good as he's been it makes me sad sometimes when he just crosses so many times and they are basically garbage. Iva isn't permanently dropped, but apparently Mou is going to have him sit out a few games at least. One thing Cesar can't replace is Iva's clutch goals though.

He's had an underwhelming start to the season. Mou will drop him very soon if he believes the alternative will perform better.

I have seen the goals Chelsea conceded in the first games. It is just not my thing to drop proven players after they had one or two bad games.
But as I said I rate Azpi and Baba and they would probably be my first choices too. I was just asking antonnn about it because he is a Chelsea fan.

Cahill dropped, Terry and Iva remain. Good decision I say but Ivanovic needs to do well, it sounded like Mourinho is itching to start Baba on the left and shift Aspi to his natural right back position.
I suppose you could play Ivanovic at centre back next to Terry as well. That would be better actually.

Quite harsh that begovic has been dropped and courtois straight back into the side. Could of been 5 or 6 if not for Begovic last week.

I don't think it's harsh at all. Begovic may have played well last week but still conceded 3 and he looked shaky in pre-season. Mourinho is taking no risks and went all guns blazing.
