Hoping Valverde doesn't fuck up another CL season. Trying to approach this in a pragmatic way could bite us in the ass big time. This is one of those games where the superior team has to go out and outplay the inferior team on their stadium in front of a massive home crowd supporting them, scoring a couple of goals in the process. Which is what Barcelona is known to do at Camp Nou on regular basis against teams like Lyon.

But If Ernie approaches this game as if we're playing 1990's Milan, with his chickenshit tactics where we sit back most of the time and try to nick a goal then defend the lead we could have problems. Lyon can play if allowed to just fine.

Sport wrote an article about how the main objective is not to concede.

But we are likely to concede if we are worried about trying to prevent them from scoring. This team always seems to work better on the front foot and let these guys do what they do best and instead of forcing them to be pragmatic.

We should have no serious problems beating a Lyon team 2-1 or 3-1 at home while conceding a goal. We just need to win this game, even if we concede. But in order to score 2-3 goals you have to attack.

Not to concede
I can't believe we are one of those clubs now... Out of all the managers, we picked the one that is trying to grind out 0-0 decisions and win on penalties, and we gave him an extension.... imo its up to Lyon to lose this tie.
