CL: Barca - Man City 1-0 (3-1 agg.)

We were already 2-0 up though and they looked utterly defeated we were playing the ball around and creating chances for fun, it would be crazy if Lucho told them to be conservative in the second half.
I'd agree with you if that was any other bus parking side. We have had really bad experiences against sides that suddenly decided to attack us with full blown ''wave after wave'' attacks in which we usually conceded and at worst, fell apart. I don't want to see that anymore.
Lucho was smart in this occasion that he completely diminished any advances of MC to nought. Messi's missed pen is a drag and ''bohooboohoo'' sob, but all in all, he pwned Pelegrini anyway. I'm sad such a minority is realising this.

Exactly, so many were happy with a draw.

What are the pricks on bluemoon saying? Any updates. Still confident? lol

They feel let down and are blaming Manual for the tactics ( 2 up front etc ), although some are seeing the brightside and are slighty happy that they won the second half and didn't get totally demolished. Most believe the tie is over while a few die hards are hoping they can pull it off, which they won't.

Cut the crap already 1-2 is a great score, the 1/4 is pretty much assured, we'll have even more control and chances at home, Toure or not.

Do I need to remind you that people here claimed that they will be happy with a draw, there was even some lunatics saying that City is better than us.

If we can't get past City then we have no business being in the CL. IMO RM, Chelsea are much better than City.

Might want to go easy with the Ray Hudson streams, finding it hard to comprehend all this negativity after an historic win in Manchester... Bizarre.

I think Suarez will have a go at penalties next season.

"historic win" you really try hard to take the attentions from Messi don't you? You're easy to wind up. So cute

But you will see some people that really think chitty can win even 0-5 away.

Yeah, it will happen.

In FM15, and even so, not even sure.

People should calm down, it's won for Barca unless the aliens kidnap messi.

You mean if he decides to go back to his home planet :pep:

Ah so not that bad then. Silly to think that with the squad City have, could they really have pulled it off? They couldn't play long balls. Aguero granted had a good game, Piqué was a life saver. I can't seem them getting 2-0 at Camp Nou, no way. It's unthinkable.

I feel so terrible Sorry for messi. He was the giant of the match, and everyone is going to remember the last minute.

What game were you watching? Messi was quiet for the vast majority of the match 0_o yeah he worked some magic, not a lot though. Piqué, Rakitic, Iniesta, Suárez were great. Busi, Alves & Alba shocking. Masch was ok with Neymar being great in the first half but still fairly quiet then completely died in the 2nd. Messi, had his moments but too little time on the ball. Should have composed himself on the rebound.

they need to score first so we can just play keep ball.

BTW i thought busi was excellent. his only problem was dallying on the ball that one time in the second half. apart from hat he did well with the ball and knew when and who to close down.

Christ some fan you are laughing at my historic win comment, spoilt by past success I imagine. Tell me how often have we won at the home of the English champions? This is one for the history books.

And who is wound up here, you are the one having a go at me... I said I was annoyed at the miss and that Suarez should take pens next season, that is hardly diverting attention, the guy is awful at pens in cup comps.

Jog on. I'll be celebrating this 'historic win.'

Great win, but could have been better. The first halve was realy good!

Messi was great, to bad he missed the penalty and the rebound.
Looking forward to the rematch, so we can kick City back to Manchester =)!

A fantastic first half performance by the team that was followed up by a less dominating and composed second half performance. A good result nevertheless that could have been better if some of the many wasted chances had been converted into goals.

Messi has to improve his penalty kicks. He could preferably ask Ronaldo for some advice here. Still as majestic as ever. If everything goes according to the plan in the return leg he will get his "revenge" and the team will qualify for the quarter-finals.
