Good Game by us, although a bit Frustrated with Messi's Diving header Shot and letting off the Gas in the Second Half. but other than that it was a good game by us. I mean It could be worse from what I read on another Forum.

Disgusting performance. Absolutely shit.. Bunch of morons playing as if they have the right to win any match. No way they will progress. Totally gutted with such players. Busquets should be put infront of a firing squad or handed over to ISIS.

It was a comment on this game? Why would he put Busi in front of a firing squad? :rofl1:

No, seriously, I think English fans are the worst kind.

1-2 in CL knockouts is a fantastic result. Only 2 of the 6 away teams have won so far in the round of 16. RM and Barca are the only teams I have seen so far this round that look like worthy semifinalists.

I am not surprised that Barca did not dominate for the entire match. City is one of very few teams that approach the overall talent level of Barca, of course they were going to play well for at least part of their home game. I think Hart, Silva for sure, Aquero and Clichy maybe would start for Barca. Barca weathered the storm in the 2nd half, this is a required skill for winning CL. Being disappointed that Barca did not score 4 or 5 away at the Premier League champion is beyond ridiculous.

I thought Lucho did well with his choice of substitutes, but maybe they should have come earlier. When the opponent has a force like Dzeko out there, both Pique and Mathieu have to be at CB. Size does matter. Both Masch and Busquets are just better players these days than any of the other midfielders, their overall contribution is superior to Iniesta, Rak, Raf or Xavi. Even though the offense suffers with two DMs.

Messi and Neymar will both score in the return match at Camp Nou. I expect City to play very well, Barca cannot contain Yaya, Dzeko or Aquero. Barca 3 MC 2.

I feel like that could be a City fan's post too, one who was mad at Busi for diving (even though he didn't?)

Barca cannot contain Yaya, Dzeko or Aquero.

Why not? As long as we don't get cocky we'll not give them the chances like the first half

Good post overall but 'Clichy maybe would start for Barca'? He's piss poor, wouldn't even make the bench at Barca!

Also, how exactly Barca cannot contain Yaya, Dzeko or Aguero? Aguero, maybe, he's a great player but Dzeko is mediocre (only a threat in the air) and Yaya was invisible a year ago when we faced them.

Yeah cos Yaya is known for his extremely high pressure and great work rate :xavi:

Agree with this completely. Yaya will possibly only cause us problems when City are attacking or have a free kick etc. Defending were likely to have more space with him on the pitch.

Bah. Decent result, but some really bad play at times. I have never seen Mascherano play that bad. It was unbelievable. Neymar certainly was near his worst as well.

Piqué just seems to be a god of defense now, though, so that always helps. Too bad about the PK miss, bad way to end am otherwise great performance.

I hope we can fix some of the glaring issues we were showing this game. I think it was up there with the away Málaga and Madrid games in terms of poor performance. This may work vs a suicidal and error prone Man City but we can't win La Liga like this.

Should have been 4-0 given how poor City played, but obviously a win is always good :)

Iniesta and Busi can handle Yaya and silva just fine. We'll win tidily, I honestly don't expect them to score, the only way I see them scoring is sloppy turn overs from Messi and Busi and others (Thats usually how people score on us nowadays).

We put on a footballing masterclass in the first half, could have been 5-0 up. We started the second half too conservatively and let city gain momentum which led to aguero's goal. I knew Messi would miss the penalty but what was really bizarre was his rebound header, he headed it to the left, like he was trying to clear the ball instead of shoot, he probably felt bad for Aguero lol.
Suarez should have taken the penalty, oh well time to send them to the cleaners in the second leg, VISCA BARCA
