I don't agree with your last statement. I don't think Ter Stegen has been doing 'very well'. Bravo looks more secure and also probably has made more saves per game.

I think he has been doing very well apart from that first PSG game.

Distribution have been top class, he has made some great saves along with some important ones too and he has looked to be settling in very well lately.

As for Bravo having more saves per game and looking more secure then he has played many more games, against top teams too so that is to be expected, no?

Bravo didnt look very secure at the start either IMO, but as he got a good run of games in his confidence increased, he has settled in well and looks good.

Playing regularly have its own benefits.

Barçapocalypse NOW!
Even if it was someone else's decision to sign him, it was still Lucho's decision to make him the first GK, so credit where credit is due...

He became 1st GK by default, because TS was injured... Bravo played quite poorly during he preseason (that stupid mistake against Napoli I believe?), without TS injury he would be backup. Of course he performed very well since then. I see both GKs as roughly equal shot stoppers. TS has better distribution, but Bravo has more experience and seems to be very strong mentally. TS is breathing on his neck whole season, he knows that few mistakes might delegate him to the bench and he doesn't look nervous at all. Very impressed with that.

BTW about our defense - when was the last time some la liga team defense was in single digits (goals allowed) after half of the season? While there have been few defensive mistakes, the team as whole has been defending extremely well. LE should get some credit for that.

You know that our GK is doing something right, when the last post is from the 19th january
We've improved in defence you know... Due to our collective defensive play we barely conceded any shots on goal but I agree, when Bravo is needed he always does his job and doesn't get caught off guard.

Even though he is barely tested, he never disappoints when called upon. I hope he gets the record for least goals conceded. Should easily win the zamora this season.

According to sqawka these are the 5 best gk's in top 5 leagues so far. Neuer, buffon, sommer, de sanctis and then bravo.
