Claudio Bravo

He is World class. Proven it in the world cup, and this season with us. He just always had issues with his blunders, as did valdés btw. People will start to respect him throughout the season until he fucks up, even in a friendly against a village team, then hell is gonna break loose.

Shaky game from him. Sent quite a few passes strait into the opponent feet when he could have pass closer and safer to one of the defenders. Also should have bounced back that offside shot that went into the net.
Also pretty slow.

Didin't like his game today.

Bravo had very bad game. The distribution was bad, never shined as a guy who can start the build up from the back, but today was especially bad. I can't really blame him for goals, but I think a WC goalie could save one of them. I think LE will make MAtS UCL and Ligue keeper next season and Bravo will become CDR keeper.

Really? I prefer MAtS myself, but Bravo had pretty amazing season so far, and that all with MAtS breathing on his neck. So I believe he's pretty strong mentally too.

Yes, really. Couple of good games does not make one world-class.

This has been the first time where Mats being a better keeper not only shines through, but screamed through. Shaky with the ball at his feet, passed directly to yellow jerseys a number of times, and had no clue what to do with himself on the numerous counters we faced.

While the first goal was due to Mascherano forgetting how to CB (Or rather, reminding us that we forgot he never knew how), he should have easily been able to save that goal. He was in great position to just pick it up, but his reaction was far too late, as if he wasn't even thinking about the game, and his dive was him basically just throwing himself for the sake of looking like he tried. ter Stegen could have saved that with his ass.

The second goal was due to Pique having a brainfart but, even then, he had an opportunity to attack the ball that he didn't take. Perhaps he was scared Giovannni would slip the ball past him if he committed. Perhaps he thought Pique would have made the tackle and rendered his being there pointless. Regardless, he should have spread himself and taken Giovanni, and possibly Pique, out to get that ball. It's questionable if ter Stegen would have made the right decision there or if ter Stegen would have even stuck to his posts at all, but if he plays better than that against Villareal (He already played better than Bravo against Atletico) he'll have made a strong case to be our starting keeper in both the UCL and the Liga.

Jesus, I almost vomitted reading this. How on earth was he supposed to save that first goal??? It took a horrible deflection.

He might (BIG might) could have done better in the first goal only if he was taller but the deflection was crazy lucky. Second goal is just retarded from Pique and the entire defense: look at the replay, at one point there are 4 defenders (2 near goal, 2 near scorer) plus GK vs 2 Villarreal strikers and they still managed to score.

Clutching at straws there.

ter Stegen has really not shown anything to prove that he should be the undisputed started at Barca. His supposedly hugely impressive distribution right now sits at 83.8% pass accuracy (in UCL over 6 games - with 21 passes per game) while the clueless Bravo is at 82.4% (in La Liga over 21 games - with 19 passes per game).

Goalkeeping wise I haven't seen either show that they're better than the other (Bravo probably edges it with the limited evidence). I'm not confident with either for balls into the box.
