Not really, but we'll agree to disagree.

I think Bravo is a good GK, he is old (as much as many of the pillars of this squad but young from a GK perspective), experienced (both in teams & NT), good with his feet & hands, personality, commanding voice and a good example on & off pitch. In terms of GK'ing he's already a made man.

TS is a young GK with great skills, a good present and a brilliant future ahead. He will benefit a lot from the games he get to play and the competition experience, no need to rush him like it was the second coming of Jesus.

The problem is the eagerness of this forum for him to become Neuer and pressuring a personal agenda over a team's perspective. The over-hypeness is unnecessary and derogatory towards a GK who's doing well in your own team (Bravo).

I don't think I need to remind you what was the outcome of the Fabregas/Alexis and the early Neymar threads to give you a picture of how you (as a collective) treat your players. I'm pretty sure you have seen it in other threads as well.

Maybe I'm not part of the problem as you want to portray me.

Yes, the agendas are really strong here - what with him being Barca's own personal Neuer.

More catches, less punches, more saves per goal, similar distribution - yet apparently clearly the inferior keeper to MAtS. Sorry, but the only place MAtS has a clear advantage is sweeping, and I do want to see more of that at Barca - just not when Bravo is doing so well anyway.

That stat alone says nothing.

It's not supposed to be looked at alone. It's supposed to be looked at in conjunction with the other stats I posted.

^ Great post. If Bravo could sweep like MAtS he would be perfect. For now he is the keeper who is performing the better of the 2, unfortunately he's not a young blond Neuer prodigy so he doesn't get much love... also his age works against him on here, people often find it hard to grow fond of older players.

Bravo indeed deserves more credit than he gets. And he's the better keeper as things stand. But any fair statistical comparison must reflect similarity either in sample size or the type of comp.

Anyway, Bravo is the real deal. Ter stegen (or bum steven as his thread title reads these days) wasn't very good at the Calderón. He needs to pulls up his socks for the semis, and soon.

lel.

Bravo gets a lot of credit here and rightfully so. There are perhaps one or two posters who are a bit more reluctant, but well done in painting everyone with the same brush and terming everyone for a fanboy just because they prefer or like one keeper over the other.

If those who prefer ter Stegen are fanboys then sure as hell you guys who prefer Bravo are some utterly pathetic fanboys like us too :), because afterall, you're the ones putting everyone who got a preference under the fanboyism tag.

@Observer, maybe if you tried to post something useful instead of outright bashing other posters and making fun of them and talking about 'an agenda' like there's some CIA or Illuminati agents here waiting for the moment to poison Bravo with ricin to give ter Stegen a starting spot then it would be very appreciated.

@footyfan, I believe there's a thing called 'sample size'. Bravo has/had the luxury of playing regularly early in the season while ter Stegen had to settle for much less playing time in a new country, league, team and culture and environment. That would in most cases have a very positive impact for the one playing more, being able to settle earler and gaining the confidence of the team and the manager and besides, if stats was everything then I could pull up a few surprises for you using that Squaka comparison meter if you want.

Ah well, I reckon it's better for me to leave this thread before I'm called for 'a Bravo hater and ter Stegen lover'. :zubi:

Don, no one here termed anyone a fanboy, except for yourself. lel. For what its worth, I prefer neither, I'm a hopeless, harmless, Hummels fangirl. So spare me, :please:

Will you remain a Hummels fangirl when he eventually leaves BVB for Man Utd?

:troll:

When you use the word 'agenda':)lol:) then 'fanboy' is not far away.

I'd take Neuer, Courtois, De Gea, Cech, Lloris over him. Stats-wise I'd also take Sommer, Benaglio, Adrian before I pick him. No idea how you see someone like Bravo as a Top 5 gk.

Bravo is not top 5 but Lloris, Benaglio and Adrian are all surely worse than him

You can't compare CL to La Liga. ter Stegen played 1/3 of his matches against a top team and another third against a very good one. Bravo is a good GK but these stats are not representative.
