Claudio Bravo

Beaten at his near post

If we hadn't overall demolished Athletic he'd be torn to shreds for that. I remember Pinto getting beaten on his near post shortly after Valdes got injured and he never gained the fans' support again. I suppose the major difference was we actually dropped points there, though.

Second poor game in a row for Bravo. The German is waiting.

Calma, calma
He had a really good game bar the second goal, and keep in mind it was a great shot from Aduriz.

Funny how Pique was spared the criticism for a mistake last game but Bravo isn't...

Why should he? Bravo will be this season's zamora and LFP recepient. It's natural he's rewarded and continues next season, and up until he ceases being Liga's best keeper which is may be 4-5 years more.
But no worries, Sevilla and Sociedad will soon be in the market for a Keeper. We can send over our lesser talented albeit younger and everyone's fav tS. Problem solved IMHO.

There's some Nadal level jinxing going on here.

The Bravo hate train is gathering speed. I hope the German has some patience, because he won't be number 1 this season.

Bravo is looking nice and pretty thanks to our defense playing.Ok- the second goal was a mistake and everyone makes mistakes. But he sent the ball for rebound one the first gosl and that is something he does a lot . He is also slow to come out: those are systematic problems and he is not going to get better. We don't need to force to issue now and there's no need for that. Bravo should continue to be #1 and if he gets exposed in the future, MAtS will take over. Good thing under Lucho no one has guaranteed spot(except for Messi ofc)-it will happen naturally.

Think he was partly to blame on both goals.
Less so on the first one as you could argue this one was very hard to deflect in a more controlled manner.
But definitely on the second one, he should not have conceded from that angle.

Otherwise he was decent, liked him trying to up his footy skills.
Though against an opponent playing like Bilbao yesterday MATS is the ideal type of keeper.

You can only blame him for the secodn goal imo, and he saved us several times before that in the first half.
How often did Valdes concede those type of goals like the second before his final season?

Did not want to diss Bravo. But he was far from flawless yesterday.
There was another situation where he and Piqué nearly created havoc, probably because of some form of miscommunication. (Though this was also happening a lot with Valdés)

Good game from Bravo, second goal was the defense's fault. First goal, well, what can you expect him to do? He's not Courtois, I doubt most keepers can catch that.

But you see, Valdes made errors even after establishing himself as our greatest goalkeeper ever. No keeper we will ever have will receive the leeway we afforded Victor.

Leeway? Valdes was highly criticized in here. Actually, if it were Valdes yesterday, his thread would be full of criticism, and heavier than the ones Bravo is getting.

You just can't let that slip past you at the near post... Time for my boy, ter Stegen

Valdes never had a talented number 2 breathing down his neck. He made stupid mistakes and had every opportunity to make up for them. Bravo can't afford to make mistakes, as it should be.

He's probably starting the cup game.
Yeah, I know but it's time for him to be the #1 on all fronts

Bravo is good but the Steven should be starting since the very beginning if not for the unfortunate minor injury
