You can argue though when you consider that his team finished 15 points behind first place( no second place team in the history of the Spanish league has been that many points behind). Finished 12 goals behind Messi even though Messi missed the last 6 games of the league. Was sent off in the Copa del Rey final and didn't win that either, Finished behind Russia and needed the playoffs , Lost to the two leaders of the league so far in the direct match ups. Is currently 6 points behind the leaders again. Hasn't actually broken any records.So exactly what has he done apart from score goals in the last two months for it to be said that it can't be argued against him winning it? Im not saying he shouldnt win be when did it get to the point that there werent any arguments against him being the winner?

BD is for the whole year. And up until the start of this season, or even later than that, probably only a few weeks ago, everyone agreed that Ronaldo's chances are next to zero, and rightfully so. It's just the hype setting in.

No one really stood out this year, but how does it work in cr's favor? If anything, in a year where no one really excelled individually, I'd give the award to a player from the best team. So, ribery.
