Cristiano Ronaldo - v1

I can't imagine the meltdowns and the number of ''Uefalona's'' that would've been thrown around if that happened in any year to favour Messi.

Just usual hypocrisy from Madridistas.

Some on Twitter are even calling us drama queens for complaing about this. The nerve...

Cruijff's Heir
Still haven't found it anywhere outside Twitter and some sites who copied the tweets. Can't really belive it

Me neither, but I have a strange feeling it is actually true. Scandalous, but if CR7 needs this to win he can have another bloody Ballon d'Or. He still won't go down as one of the all-time greats like Cruijff, Maradona, Pele, Beckenbauer etc :) Whatever he does :mou:

Most CR zealots still think Blatter and Platini give the awards by decree. I hope after all of this Messi wins by 0.5 percent or less just to have a laugh.

Messi has never gotten less than 23% of the votes.
Ronaldo has never gotten more than 23% of the votes.
There has always been a ~20% margin between them.
No other player has ever even reached 20% - the closest was Iniesta with 18.
Last year, Messi got more than 40% of the votes.

Ribery ahead of Messi? No, probably not.

CR7 not winning any major trophy in 2013 can only work against him no matter what heroics he's made and the # of goals he's scored. Nothing equates winning a major title. :VdB:

January to August: Messi >>> Ronaldo

September: Messi > Ronaldo

October: Messi = Ronaldo

20 days of November: Ronaldo > Injured Messi

And CR7 should win the ballon dor? :VdB:

January to April: Messi >> Ronaldo

April - August: Ronaldo > Injured Messi

August - September: Messi = Ronaldo

October: Semi injured Messi << Ronaldo

20 days of November: Ronaldo >>> Injured Messi

Irish Mirror reporting it now. They state it's due to a low turnout. No idea how reliable that is. Nothing official from FIFA, and that Blatter tweet is only 2 hours old.

Poor CR. It means he can only win it with Messi injured and FIFA changing the rules.

He's just so damn good for Portugal that he couldn't get them to qualify wihout playoffs against Israel, Northern Ireland, Azerbaijan, Luxembourg and Russia. :worthy: Reverse psychology at its finest. You fail at such an easy task, you do the extra one to make up for it, and when you do, all of a sudden you're brilliant. In fact, you've been brilliant all along. What absolute freaking bullshit. Somehow, because of today's match, it look as if he's been fantastic in his qualifiers for the WC, where in reality, Messi's Argentina qualified quite a while ago.

Would like to know which voters or employees said that, until now I've only seen some journalists tweeting it.

I don't even think it would change much, can't believe many people could be bothered to change their vote.

Agreed. Same applies for the past few weeks though, which make it seem like he has had a hell of a whole year.

This makes sense, too. Those who support Ronaldo or Messi or whoever in general probably already voted for them. I can't think of the kind of voter who'd be inclined to change his vote after whatever happens in these additional 10 days.

I can't feel ma face!
Congrats to France and Portugal!
But lol social media going cray! Boogles my mind. How ppl can say he is the best in the history and how much credit he is getting. If he was that great his team would not be in that position they are in? Hat trick? Yea props to him but against a mediocre Swedish defense lol
Kinda ironic how people saying Messi isn't effective with Argentina when they were one of the first ones to qualify lol
While Ribery ibra and Cristiano were playing he play offs.
That is all. :)

All 32 teams have been picked.
Well 2 spots left (Uruguay and Mexico) they both scored 5 goals in the first game.
Less than a year for the World Cup woot
