Of course it works. In Belgium it works every week. Yeah. The objective award was the best player award, voted by players and coaches. This one is just a huge pile of bs.
Messi won the lliga for Barça, he was the most important player. Without his goals, there'd be no title.

It's far more than just a rumour. Bookies often get things wrong but cut Messi from 8/1 to 5/4 says a lot about how the initial released votes are going.
