I dont know why people are getting worked up about this. Its not like its the first time its happening. I always expect them to be biased and im never disappointed. The difference being that CR will never justfiedly beat Messi to any award that is based on quality, unless Messi is injured for a longer period of time, and even then you could discuss.

Also, no need to act like this wasn't made to make Cristiano happy. Award for most valuable player? Seriously? You can't possibly argue that this isn't bs.

It's not about CR7 winning that trophy or not, it's just a huge devaluation of the prizes. Either go for a voting prize, or go by a jury and select the best players yourself. They are mixing it up for no reason. Of course one can think of differences between 'best player' and 'MVP', but they usually are kind of far-fetched. Secondly, why differentiate the way the winner is picked between those two prizes? If I read the description of the prize, many others can come to mind. Busquets anyone? Isco? Courtois? Falcao? Illaramendi?

it's so obvious they made up this so your player wouldn't be sad, and attend the ceremony. The award was created on Dec 1st! Media manipulation from madrid, ignoring Messi won best player too, making up this mvp crap was the most important award... But then again, why bother, madridistas are blind and used to corruption.

IMO, If one RM player absolutely should have got it, then Diego Lopez all the way. He was sensational and saved your ass many times last season in the league and in europe.
