Cristiano Ronaldo - v1

Enough of this crap, Ronaldo gets away with so much diving and acting like a cunt, it will be the day when he gets sent off.

It happens every now and then, only he rarely gets a huge ban, the ref does though, straight into segunda division for the rest of the season.

Nobody cares, I would bet a million that if someone does a survey right now who is the biggest diver, Ronaldo or Busquets, Busi would be winning by a landslide despite barely/not having dived in 4.5 years.

If it was Messi, it'd be in the front page everywhere. I really don't get the double standards.

Because it's out of character and the newspapers need material to sell. It's all supply and demand. Imagine the horrors of having fixed good guys and bad guys, that gets really old really fast.

Also, people find it hard to believe that someone so at the top can be so humble and unassuming, so they need to bring him down to make themselves feel less inadequate.

It's usually the English media who are ahead of everyone else in these type of things, but they aren't too bothered with Cristiano. They make much more money on showing Messi's bad side(everyone has a bad side) since Messi is known as humble and not involved in controversies or stupid episodes.

I just think of him as exploiting the rules and nature of the game today. Same way all the big companies exploit the double Irish arrangement to legally avoid paying taxes.

So to you as long as it is not illegal it is OK? Legal but unethical is totally fine with you?

That's very true. People already has this image of Ronaldo being a flashy, self-centered narcissist punk and drama queen, this kind of behavior, although nasty, doesn't raise any eyebrows.

Let's just say I'm not going to bitch about it every chance I get. There are a ton of actions that Ronaldo does that scream 'I am a grade A wanker with nice eyebrows' but I am not going to get riled up about it. He has a ton of redeeming qualities that I choose to focus on. Mostly the qualities that I personally am deficient in: dedication, hard work and the strive for excellence and improvement.

Fair enough.

Ronaldo on 69 now. I have a feeling it will take until matchday 4 of this years competition for Raul to be surpassed.

I know Ronaldo is cuntest among the cunts but messi being humble and not in any controversies made me laugh....
but there was a time when i too thought messi was humble.

Started to respect Ronaldo in recent years and it really seamed to me that he is matured, but recent incomprehensible diving, exaggerating contacts, throwing punches against defenders, kicking opposing players sneakingly (the worst kind of sportsmanship, and against, well...bulgarian team). This is just too much. Really do not appreciate all those comparisons between CR and Messi, but honestly, after this CL final antics and all those things in current season I have lost all that hard earned respect towards him. Yeah, good player, but I really have this feeling that he just conciously hid some of his true colours to win this stupid ballon d'or and is back at his worst again.
Real shame.

It has been the same since day 1 at Madrid, also dont get why people ever saw him as matured. It has been a giant ego trip since the beginning for him, no signs of maturity, just narcisistic obssessive behavior.
