Ad hominem.
Dunno really. Ronaldo is doing good and pointing his 17 goals in CL is not part of any propaganda. It's not as if those stats were made up.
As I said, one could argue Messi at his peak is better than Ronaldo (that's what I believe anyways), but right now, one could argue Ronaldo does a better job on the field than Messi for quite some times now.
They can't give the Ballon d'Or to Messi every years just because at his peak he is the best footballer in history.
That said, I would have given the Ballon d'Or to Neuer, and not Ronaldo.
The WC happens every four years, and Neuer was totally incredible. Still remember his block on benzema rocket shot. Arms of steel.
I disagree, I think that Messi would need the board and coach to come out more often to praise him. Any extra push to move forward is good, whether you're named Messi or not.No I don't mean he is saying anything wrong. What I'm talking about is the concerted effort from all layers at the club starting from the players to the president, to pitch Ronaldo as the obvious choice for the award, coming out and making their stand unequivocally.
I'm not even arguing that Ronaldo doesn't deserve it or whatever, that's a different discussion. I'm just thinking, Messi doesn't get a fraction of such support from us. Okay the coach comes out after some games and says he is the best etc etc. but nothing like this. Truth be told, Messi hasn't needed any support because he has been so far ahead of Ronaldo anyway. I don't really care about the award, but it just irks me that the board can't even come out and support him when there are stupid allegations about him flying left, right and centre.
Coaches supporting players this way is great, but lol at key to CL win. He really wasnt. 17 goals and not key.. Hes an anomaly that Cristiano.Carlo Ancelloti - " This Ballon D'Or is obvious. We should be talking about next year's award because this one is obvious. People forget that he scored 17 goals in the Champions League and was key to win."

The propaganda to get Penaldo the award is fully underway. I am guessing this is just another one of those things Messi must be looking at, and thinking to himself how shit he is treated in comparison.

Even Nasser at PSG comes out more often to praise his players.
I actually think Messi WANTS the club to come out and say he's the best of the best. The board and coach should not give the feeling they don't care as if "messi's perfs were normal so no point to discuss it".
Exactly, when messi scored in 19 consecutive matches in la liga no one used it as an argument becuase the majority was in 2012 not 2013.People forget that he scored the majority of his CL goals last year and not this year.
