Or it just shows he plays for goals/himself. Getting surgery now and being sidelined for 6 weeks kills his goals this season, so he struggles towards the summer scoring as much as possible.
Or its indeed a pr excuse, which is most likely the case.

It makes me so happy to see him struggling like this. He is a player who cares more about his own ego than his club, many madridistas are waking up to this now

So if the knee problems are serious then he could either get the surgery and give up the pichichi and lose ground on Messi in the champions league goals or keep playing injured and crappy while risking a worse injury. Literally 0% chance he'll take time off if this injury is real or fake.

Apparently all the players were invited but most had the good enough sense to not show up after getting thrashed. I like Benz. I feel bad he has to play with someone like CR. When I watch him play, he almost always passes to CR instead of being selfish and trying to score. Sometimes he needs to be more selfish.
As far as his knee, I never thought he was healed. Isn't it a chronic thing too? He will never take time off to seriously let anything heal in order to compete with Messi. Maybe he is shaving off a few years on his career by doing this.

Not exactly, I know for a face he has had knee problems, just questioning the timing and when its BS and not BS. If he plays 90 minute games then he and his fans can't use it as an excuse.

God knows I dislike the guy and I'd never willingly defend him but yes I believe that his knee isn't 100%. Maybe not as bad as exaggerated but its known he had tendon issues on his left knee back in the summer and that it was becoming chronic. Once it becomes chronic, its very hard to get rid of it without taking an extended break. I have something similar in my knee that only feels better when I don't punish it with hard physical activity for long period of time
He seems like he works extra hard to cover it up though. And Ancelotti is not the type of manager to have balls and tell CR that he needs to take time off. Too scared to say something. And we all know why. His glory-hunting will be his downfall. Maybe he'll get his level back up this season but I predict he only has 1 more season playing the way he has these past few years. Then we'll see his downfall.
BTW read the comments on this site about selling him. One of the few non-clownish Real Madrid sites and a place sometimes Cules&Madridistas can interact without hate( sometimes lol).
