Cristiano Ronaldo - v1

Calma, calma
His "signs of decline" are all predicated on a made-up excuse to cover for his sub-par performance, so I wouldn't give them too much attention.

He will continue scoring goals at this rate for 2-3 years more I reckon.

If you ask me, deep inside Bale really wants to be the main man. He hates having to suck up to Ronaldo's wishes. I don't feel at all the same about Neymar-Messi. I feel Neymar is patiently waiting his turn, knows he is not yet at the level but Bale feels he's up to challenge the Alpha male of the pack if you ask me.

Good, good.

Ronaldo is a smart player when it comes to his legacy and longetivity. He is adaptable, therefore will continue scoring, allthough it would surprise me if he keeps scoring 60+ a year for the next few years, 40+ is definitely doable. His overall play already declined a lot, he wil become even more of an Inzaghi if the body cant keep up anymore.

As of this season that seems to be the case, as if his important goals from the first season got to his mind and made him think he is more than and poor man's Ronaldo.
Mainly because of his stupid haricut and selfish moves. They will probably sell him next summer for a record fee to some moronic British club.

IMO Ronaldo's level of play depends now, more than ever, on the overall level of the team. If they can get back to their form, he is the best player they can possibly have for that role. RM has some great young players who will keep getting better. That's why i see him scoring as many goals for at least 2/3 years.

Ronaldo is already slower than he was, but he has built up his body to be very strong. Physically, he's in a good position.

I predict he will convert to more of a traditional center-forward instead of a wing-forward as his speed/acceleration keeps fading. But his jumping, strength, heading, finishing... these qualities should remain just fine. And really, CR7 would make a perfectly legitimate No. 9 if needed.

Good, good.

I also feel that way which is kinda sad because Neymar is 20 x times better and also a lot younger.

I never understood why Bale started copying Cristiano's moves though. I mean he was an established player and huge star in Britain when he came to Real but after a while he started to take the same free kick stance and stuff like that.

You shouldn't read too much into it, I wonder. Cristina is probably his idol and you don't try to act like your idol if you have one? Of course you do.

He did it even before joining them.

I have a theory that the booing from stands and the negative comments from other Real players towards Bale is in part down to resentment towards Ronaldo.

They cant really have a go at him for the way he behaves - not passing, selfish etc as he produces so many goals.... but they still dont like him.

Venting some of that frustration towards Bale unfairly.
