Cristiano Ronaldo - v1

Some points (pace and ability on counter) as well as his off ball movement (that is becoming more and more "here is the ball, I'll make run in box and you cross it to me") I agree with. Assist numbers I don't. If that was the case Cesc would be better then Xavi and Iniesta put together, which is not the case.

His playmaking skills are good, but nothing out of the ordinary. His positioning in attacking third is fantastic and that results in alot of easy goals and assits that I already mentioned.
Make no mistake, he is talented as fuck and he can give a good pass and make assist every once in a while, but generally these are one twos that end up with his teammate scoring. No shame in that, but it still doesn't make him all conquering complete player people rave about. Morten made a good point...When he scores a couple more then Messi he is considered best in the world purely on numbers alone. Every other part of the game is completely reduced to unimportant. As I said, if same standards applied on Ronnie, he would now be without bdor.

What dont you agree about assists?

Do you think I am trying to make out he is the most creative player in the team... I said the exact opposite that his assists come from his movement into good position s rather than clever passing etc.

But what those assists do show is that he brings far more than just being a penalty box hanger. He is a bigger part of the attack than that and also his work outside the box on the break etc differentiates him from the likes of Inzaghi. It is a ridiculous comparison.

If anything is is astonishing that he is so effective and brings so much to the team for what he actually lacks with the ball at his feet.

The whole aspect of Messis game is erased when comparing him to Ronaldo its becoming tragicomic. It wasn't like that when Ronaldinho was around...He would never won Bdor if todays standards where used.

Ronnie, how many goals? 30.
Okeish...

Torres, how many goals? 38.

Wow...Here is bdor for you son!

I doubt Ronaldinho would have won back then, if someone scored 50-60 goals in a season. He didnt have to compete with that.

What Ronaldinho was more about what football is about than numbers.
Problem is the media commercialy grinding out Messi vs Ronaldo and since the only way Ronaldo can compete is trough goalscoring the emphasis gets placed on only that.

2 great headers today, his ability to play as a pure 9 should see him well into his 30's.

Tied with 41 goals for the season with Leo, 30 each in Spain and 8 each in Europe. The classico is well poised.

Ronaldinho was magic, pure joy to watch. But the topscorers at that time probably had 30-35 and Ronaldinho had 20-25 i guess. If someone scored 60 goals back then i dont think Ronaldinho would have won it, thats all.

Set up was different back then as well, the current set up favours popularity and media hype, if there was a player who scored 55/60 goals people would have said "yeah he scores a lot but he is nowhere near tis man's level and the jogo bonito he brings to the sport".

Football with amateurs and on the street when everyone was focussing on being like Ronaldo or Dinho, trickery and fun. Not Wannabee arrogant athletes like Cristiano, pricks hold up the equipment in the gym as well but thats a bit off topic.

I like the fact that he didn't talk today, he has some dignity I guess considered how poorly he and real have performed since the start of the year

Not about dignity, its about being pissed off at the fans for whistling. I agree with him though, fuck fans who whistle, plastic fans and glory hunters.
Madrid has the most critical glory hunting fans of all the clubs.

Madrid Always been like this. But in general I dont like whistling just support the club, it would have helped more today, game been 10 minutes longer Real would been out.

Clearly understood the whistling. You could see it all the way that the players barely worked, run or put in any desire. They didnt try.

Having said that, it doesnt take to much of a drop in form for Messi before Ronaldo is rated higher(in many peoples eyes), from time to time.

Because for most people (who haven't followed either Messi or Ronaldo closely), all they care about is goal tally. All they know is Ronaldo scores this number of goals an they go uuuuuuhh and ahhhhh, and they think Ronaldo is better.

Everytime he scores 2 or 3 goals people in this thread start embarrassing themselves.

"Hurp da derp, how many dribbles DOE? Meehhssi still gunna win Bullon d'Or. OMG, DOSE tap ins, glorified Mario Gomez. Di Maria/Modric/Isco Madrid's best player."

Cringing hard. Stop it.

and you continued to post this everytime !!!!! if this really bother don't read it & ignore it , big head
