Cristiano Ronaldo - v1

when it comes to Ronaldo everybody around him are the best Assist-makers and Goalscorers. He's just blessed to be around them. if it was Tevez, for instance, he would have the same stats. Ronaldo is just for marketing, nothing to do with his Football talent or his physical supremacy. And it's not like Real madrid had a Galactico team before and the other Ronaldo/Figo/Raul didn't come close to these stats. never happened.

Oh please. Figo and Raul didn't come nowhere near close statwise.

Figo did. Just like Cristiano so far he barely won anything with Real Madrid.

His creativity might be misleading, but his assist tally isnt really that misleading. I would say that the main reason for his many assist is that he has very good positioning, which makes it relatively easy to deliver the final ball. Its not world-class passing and x-ray vision, but it leads to assist nontheless. Ronaldo is a decent passer though imo.

Good positioning? Ronaldo is basically free to roam wherever he want, he is most of the time the only one in (or near) the 18 yard box, that makes him the obvious and the easiest target to receive the last pass or the penultimate pass, it's the spaces created by his teammates that makes his positioning seems good, hence the great numbers of goals and assists, no wonder he is absolute shit against bus.

His passing ability is rubbish and he has no creativity at all.

Well, your post is kinda dumb. Most of his goals are from transition attacks, when he's starting his run at the half or even lower. Ronaldo positioning is all about speed, strength, change of pace/movement and ultimately and most importantly - reading the play and taking advantage of the chaos. As far as parked bus defense - positioning doesn't mean much. it's all about the build-up play, and Ronaldo isn't good when it comes to that. Him losing his long-shot isn't helping either, cuz it makes him predictable and easy to mark.

An example to top draw positioning.

Most madrid fans want him gone if the price is good enough :messi:

It's the rational thing to do from Real Madrid's point of view. For several reasons:

1) He is over 30. Decline from here on forward is inevitable, even if heroically decelerated.

2) He can still carry a massive price tag, since his decline is not yet observable in statistical terms, if only in general gameplay. EPL clubs + PSG will be more than happy to cough up some serious money to get him.

3) Unlike Messi, he is not a cantera product for Los Blancos and the sentimental value is infinitely lower.

4) Ronaldo clearly plays for his stats and the Balo d'Or alone. No matter how many goals he has scored for them, the Real Madrid fans can never love him as much as we love Messi, or as much as they loved Raul (a much lesser player)

5) The Ronaldo transfer fee (along with their usual giant war chest) can go a massive way in re-building the team.

6) Has the potential to create more solidarity and togetherness in their dressroom.

7) They will get rid of his massive wages.

8) Somebody else can score all those penaldos and waste all those free-kicks.

Which is silly because he is the one keeping them anywhere near barca. Replace him with lets say Hazard and the gap would grow even more.

valencia game proved your point

they can replace him with aguero & he would easily score that amount of goals if he got the same treatment from teammates

lots of tap ins + penalties & most of his goals doesnt real make any difference to the result but stll there is some cant accept it

Oh well. Looks like 50 goals for the stat padder.

Fuck this league. The Madrid media will ignore half of them were penaldo's.
