Cristiano Ronaldo - v1

Ronaldo in PL was developing into the player he became in 07-08. Can't compare Ronaldo 18-24 to 24-30 Ronaldo. Also mention that he had problems adapting to England in his first 2-3 seasons. It has been a pleasure to watch him developing from a frustrating young tricky player to a killer

Well, what about his last season for Utd, supposedly in his prime? 18 PL goals in 33 games. Ronaldo will never be limited like this in La liga.

Ronaldo in the PL: 84 goals in 196 games.
Ronaldo in La liga: 230 goals in 203 games.

La liga is a joke.

Thats quite a poor comparison. Ronaldo came to United as a young talent, unfinished product. He came to Madrid as a ballon dor winner, on the back of 42 goals, a ballon dor winner, a finished product.
He also played very differently in the first years for United, he was actually a winger, not only on the line-up but also in reality. Keep in mind that he has kept scored a ridiculous amount in the CL as well, but i guess that too is a joke? Only pl isnt?

He came back from a injury as i can remember, and wasnt quite at his best. What about the season before, 42 goals, just about averaging 1 goal a game?

Champions League is a joke
joke players from la liga are top scorers every season

CL is partially a joke, especially when you have 5 to 6 mega clubs and the rest are sort of extras, but La liga is something else.

42* in all comps. And that season was mind-blowing. Now, in La liga, he'll reach 42 in mid-march and it will be normal.

Ronaldo numbers are a result of real madrid strength and the weakness of La liga. Put Real madrid in the PL and his numbers will decline.

LOL. Put RM in PL and Cristiano will score even more. Sure there are more mid-tier teams but everybody bar City is mid-tier when compared to RM,Barca,ATM. They're on par with Valencia , Sevilla etc.

Rm in the PL would make cr score a lot more. If you put cr in a team like United, then he wouldn't score as much, but rm would obliterate 95% of PL teams, with all the space there. Sporting Gijon contained cr well, and they just got promoted from segunda. Espanyol vs rm isn't the best benchmark for la liga.

You are looking at it the wrong way. La liga is not any weaker than PL, in fact, its probably stronger. Put Ronaldo in PL in one of the pl-sides he will likely score less, but thats because no team in PL have the attacking strength of Real Madrid. Put Real Madrid in PL and he would score at least as much as he does now.
