Daniel Alves

He played deeper and didn't venture forward as much, result, was more solid today. 5 tackles alone. He's still a weakness of the team, his decline is steep, but playing him more reserved and defensive helps the team more.

Every time he went forward he fucked up our play with his stupid decision making and pointless balls into the area. He's not even looking for someone when he crosses, it, either. So frustrating.

If we're going to play him like that, then we might as well rest him and play Montoya once in a while so that he doesn't leave next summer and leave us with just Doglas.

Probably his 2nd best performance of the season. That is just because he had I guess less than 7 crosses tonight. Alba on the other hand owned Sevilla again and again like prime Dani used to do

Alves was bad, very bad. It's also very disappointing to admit he only SEEMED better because he wasn't attacking as much and playing more defensively. Every time he touched the ball offensively it was terrible.

He was always not a good crosser, but last season and especially this season they are more awful than ever. His decline the last few seasons has been steady, but he truly has been dreadful this season.

I remember one point in the first half where Suarez lined up next to his defender and pointed, ready to sprint after a pass, and Alves ignored him completely in favor of crossing the ball into a pit of three defenders, Messi, and the keeper.

Can't even remember the last time he had a truly good game.
