Oh no, he's called another presser? I'm not missing this one

Must remember to buy some popcorn for the occasion.

Great news to wake up to. He had such a great second half of the season , it was unbelievable. Great link-up play with his teammates mostly Messi and to a lesser extent Rakitic , good pressing (led to the first goal against Bayern) and he was even solid in defense.

That last presser he gave , coupled with what his agent and Blanc were saying , really seems to me that he was trying to sweeten the deal which I don't blame him for at all. If the board got a decent replacement at the beginning of the season I think the negotiations would've gone smoother than this. Instead he knew his replacement was Douglas. I know Alves gave alot for this club , Is a great teammate and really lifts the teamspirit when Barca is in though times in the dressing room, but let's not forget that Barca also gave alot for him , moneywise and trophywise.

Anyway , let's hope Alves continues this great form the next season and doesn't become that alves who doesn't track back and starts being inconsistent again after this contract extension. These last two weeks have been great as a Barca fan : Important players and the manager extending their contract , Winning the treble and the elections are coming up.

Sell Montoya to EPL. Loan douglas if anyone wants him. I doubt that anyone would buy him.
The board did not waived to Alves emotional blackmail and prevailed.
Have some sense Dani.

Keep Montoya. Sell Adriano. Loan Douglas to Porto.

Wow. So he seemingly has a European career even if he leaves us ? I for one thought he'd end up back in Brazil. The luck of some people...

If they still want him. Was some reports a few weeks ago too though. Who knows, maybe Douglas will end up having a decent career at Porto.
