Oh I did... I guess in the match chats only. He did surprise me by putting so many MoM performances away from home this season.
But that doesn't change the fact that he needs to be more careful... especially in away matches when teams park buses, if he goes awol in defense, just one counter and we are fucked. yesterday how many they had because of that!?

We should have a better solution to our right hand side defensive liabilities,every single team attacks Barca from our right hand side and that was obvious in our games in Kazan and Denemark,Alves is a superb player especially in attacking duties but defensively he is a bit poor,which is the the opposite for our first choice LB Abidal,Pique the man who is responsible for Alves hasnt been the Pique of the last season since the start of the season and its clear for everyone facing Barca,which is the best soln to attack Pep's team,dont know how we can solve this problems,maybe Pique and Puyol to switch places,or play Busquets and Badger together

He is a mistery, I thought he had a rather bad game, espcially with his passing which was awful, but as Bojan said he was involved in our goals so I can't argue with that...
His crosses was awful.
He is a spectacular player, his runs from defense create so much space for our right wing... However when he gets the ball, send in a good cross!
I am probably over exagerating, but like 1/6 of the balls were sent to Alves, and most of the times he blew it with his bad crosses :/

Agreed and as frustrating as he can be sometimes with crosses that appear to be for no one at times, he can put them on the money but mostly he links up perfectly with Leo...Not sure we could see anyone step in and do for Barca what Dani does...One of the truly invaluable members of the squad.
Really hope this contract situation does not turn into a loss of the player

disagree with the bold part. the invaluables are messi, xavi, piqué, puyol and iniesta. the others can be replaced with other and sometimes bigger names

Who could do for Barca what Dani does at RB?...It'd take more than merely being a world class RB, they'd need to be equally, if not more, effective going forward as they are defending...Plus, a seemingly innate linkup with Leo?...That list can't be more than 2 names, at best right now
