You're trolling. Pro sports will also favor the young. Those that are talented, focused, and dedicated could last longer than the average career spans, but it's a fight against time. In this sport players from ages 16-28 have advantage.

It's not that much about how much he could offer on the pitch. Reports were club would sign him primarily to be a mentor to younger players so he wouldn't play all that much but could possibly still step in in case of injuries etc. But problem is if we'd sign him on minimal wages (Tebas wouldn't allow him to play for "symbolic wages" and from what I've understood the league would calculate averages of his salary in previous seasons he was at the club - when he was quite highly paid - for salary cap limit even if he'd be paid less in reality) this could prevent us from signing a player or two who can actually improve the team immediately which we need.
