So basically we have missed out on the following players in the last three years: Thiago Silva (Milan), Vertonghen (Ajax), Marquinhos (Roma), Isco, Kroos, Benatia, Danilo. And instead got glorious ones like Song, Vermaelen, Douglas (and Mathieu). And we're probably not getting any of Pogba, Koke or Gündogan.

Vertonghen is nowhere near Barca class and gets destroyed every time Spurs play a team that run at him.

I honestly would rather have a fir Vermalen than Vetonghen..... getting him fit is the issue.

Its an unrealistic list just to show the good players Barca missed out on and not the ones they did get - Neymar, Suarez, Alba, Rakitic all could have gone on to other teams.

I don't rate Vertonghen that much but for 10M it was a steal. Definitely better than 15M for Vermaelen who is injured 99% of the time. I don't think Mathieu, Bartra or Mascherano are really (much) better than Vertonghen.

The ones we did get were mostly overpaid from a very objective point of view. No one knows how much we paid for Neymar, probably more than 100M. Only Alba, Rakitic and Ter Stegen were truly smart business. And then you'd have to include players we sold for peanuts - Thiago Alcantara, Villa, Fabregas and Sanchez...

Fabregas and Sanchez were bought and sold at a profit. Which for two players that the majority were not all that happy with is not bad. In the past most players that have come and gone costing the club much more than those two did.

Who has Barcelona over paid for in comparison to other clubs? Even Neymar if he does end up costing 100m will be well worth it as is Suarez at 85m. Don't forget Real Madrid wanted those two players as did a lot of big teams in Europe but Barca got them. So it works both ways.

Carvajal is very good. He is young. He is Spanish. He is a homegrown player, right from RM's academy.

I don't see this ending well for Danilo, because I doubt the Madrid media are gonna like a new guy take over Carvajal's spot unless Dani Carvajal turn shit overnight.

Madrid media seem stoked but they'll probably turn on him once Carvajal hits the bench. Isco is also Spanish but when James comes back, he'll be back on the bench. Perez doesn't operate in the same manner our club does. He doesn't give a crap about being from Spain or from the youth academies.

You should look at this whole situation from the bright side - nothing now stands in the way of Adama as RB!!! I was worried for a time, that we may sign some true RB to replace Alves, but it is clear ADama will be our summer RB signing !!!
