I still don't get it. RM already have Carvajal. A right back on a similar level (IMO better), same age, same characteristics etc. A move to FCB would have made so much more sense for Danilo and the club.

Anyway this is not the end of the world. 31.5 million euros for a player with 1 year left on his contract is by no means a good transfer. There are plenty of other options.

I would buy Fabinho or Darmian without blinking.

The interest was there obviously. The asking price must just have been too high. I can't imagine that Danilo would snub the club. Anyway this is by no means the end of the world.

There are plenty of other options available. Some equally as good IMO and cheaper. Look no further than players such as Fabinho and Darmian. Especially Fabinho who is still owned by Rio Ave.
